  1. Is it just me or has EP barely been on the ice?
  2. 157 kph (97.5mph) slapper is pretty impressive considering EP's size. Can anyone translate whats being said in the video?
  3. If you're not pushing for an NHL spot by the time you're 16, and aren't a bonafide star by 18, you're obviously a bust. How is that so hard to understand?
  4. "you're the biggest f'n diver in the league bud!" this is hilarious
  5. After a scrum in front of the lakers net. The mics picked up "HEY! WHAT THE F...?!" "You slashed me right over the hands!" surprised they're cursing in English.
  6. Rosen with another goal. 4-0 Pettersson started off the play, but no assist.
  7. none were as highly touted as Petterson. They brought excitement because for years upon years there was absolutely nothing down the pipeline in terms of upcoming young stars. We did not have anyone breaking 40 year old scoring records at the age of 19. We had no one dominating against men, winning scoring titles, and leading the playoffs in scoring against men at the age of 19. Coho was touted to be good, but he was not creating headlines like Petterson was on an international level, not even close.
  8. It's a Polish last name.. Pronounced, Lish - Chahr - Chik (at least thats as close I can translate to what an english pronunciation would sound like xD)
  9. the biggest difference in Stetcher's and Hutton's development from what I could see is that although Stetcher's offensive production dropped significantly from his rookie season, the other aspects of his game have improved and his effort level has been consistent. Whereas, Hutton is now in his third year, and not only has his offensive production dropped, but all other aspects (his speed in particular) of his game have regressed and his effort level has been consistently inconsistent. He's a liability on the ice.
  10. Small sample size but I was very impressed with what I saw out of gaudette. His puck pursuit was quite noticeable for me, as well as how well he was able to protect the puck once he has it. He's also made a bunch of great passes that lesser players probably would of just dumped in or gave up the possesion in his situation. He's been unlucky not to get a point, but if he keeps playing this way and is put on a line with more skilled forwards receiving those passes, he'll be contributing in no time. Expect him to be a key piece for this team moving forward. This training camp is going to be one of the most exciting if not the most exciting ever for the canucks with all this potential oozing from so many players
  11. Seeing him have this early success is a great sign. Has anyone gotten a chance to watch the two games in full? How does he look out there (besides the goals and assists)
  12. clearly must be a cancer in the locker room. Benning should trade him asap while his value is hot. /sarcasm
  13. i dont want to go completely overboard, but it would be amazing if Gaudette turned out to be vancouvers version of Johnny Gaudreau. Obviously not in terms of size or playstyle, but just a really late round pick that no one expected to have a huge impact. Obviously Johnny has turned out to be a superstar and not having that kind of expectation for Gaudette, but if he could turn into a solid 2nd line C... that's how you build championship teams. Later round gems.
  14. Guess it's not cultural appropriation if a Liberal does it. This clown really needs to stop embarrassing the country. Australia is eagerly awaiting Trudeau's visit too..
  15. Well, it's official... the Canadian government denies that Fidel Castro is Justin Trudeau's biological father. Glad this internet meme picked up so much steam that the government had to officially deny the claim. https://globalnews.ca/news/4032280/justin-trudeau-is-not-fidel-castro-son/ http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/fidel-castro-canada-pm-trudeaus-father-53167476 We can now all put these silly comparisons to bed... right guys?
  16. His "joke" would be more believable if his audience actually laughed. They cheered and applauded at his comment. Didn't come across as a joke at all considering the recent changes the Turdeau government has been passing through (anthem change comes to mind)
  17. Thats where you're wrong. There are more and more wealthy Chinese than any amount of new condos you could put up. Not to mention the ones that already own an apartment and would gladly buy another one.
  18. read that the Swedish team left two forward spots open that they'll announce in the next couple weeks. Still a chance Pettersson makes it? There's still hope
  19. Petterson already getting the canucks ref treatment. Clearly should of been a penalty shot
  20. Another impressive game from Gadjovich. This kid has been on a tear. Really like the effort he puts out every night, and his game is one that I think will translate nicely into the NHL, and more importantly add some nice size, grit, and net front presence for the Canucks.
  21. Anyone notice Ferraro mistake a few plays for Gadjovich?
  22. I watched him every time he was on the ice. Saw him lose the puck by the side of his own net that almost resulted in a goal for Canada, got a couple shots through to the net, but besides that was seemingly invisible. Maybe I was expecting more from him considering all the talk that hes supposed to be the Canucks future top pairing Dman and its his 3rd WJC. Gadjovich on the other hand had a solid game for Canada imo. Was good on the PK and had a nice assist to boot.
  23. I stand corrected... guess he did play his fair amount of minutes... even more disappointing that he seemed to have zero impact on the game
  24. IIRC he coughed up the puck right by his net which led to a good scoring opportunity for Canada. Was not impressed with his game at all but at the same time I don't think he got that much ice time. (anyone have the stats for TOI?) The fact that this is his 3rd WJC and he goes from Captain last year to not even an A this year is not a good sign.
