Isn't it time to give someone from Utica a chance instead of Eriksson?

Two rookie coaches because they were cheap and we were rebuilding. We were going to go through dark times until we drafted some talent, no matter who the coach would of been. Our window has opened sooner than expected due to exceptional drafting. (3 consecutive Calder finalists/winners is an impressive feat). Now would be the time to bring on an experienced coach to take this team to the next level.

I'm not against this strategy. The stress of losing 4 in a row. Media, fans, pressure growing with every loss. Maybe a day off will give them a nice mental reset. Or we come out flat and get crushed lol. -

Third season as coaches in the nhl while finishing bottom of the league in their first two seasons. Far from seasoned vets. Do you really believe in these two? Im curious what gives you so much confidence in this duo, just blind loyalty because they're coaching the canucks? Go look at the coaching history of every top tier coach in the league today. Almost all of them have an extensive resume of coaching exp as either assistants in the nhl before jumping to head or many years of struggles as headcoaches before learning the ropes and becoming recognized as top coaches in the league. I'd believe in green and baumer if they were both some savant like coaches with incredible records in the ahl, but thats not the case. They were mediocre in the ahl, and they're mediocre/bottom tier at the nhl level. Green was thrown into this job far too soon and at the very least should of been given an experienced assistant to help him out instead of taking on his mediocre assistant from utica. -

Baum is a rookie level nhl assistant learning from a rookie level head coach In Green. Both were basically rookies on the ahl level as coaches. Zero mentoring/grooming from long time nhl head coaches as is often seen with almost every good coach in the league today... These guys are learning on the job and don't even have anyone with real experience to help them out, yet so many convinced that this duo are perfectly fine and that they are great coaches. Based on what exactly? Their mediocre and short ahl records? Im not saying green or even baumer will never be solid nhl coaches/assistants. But at this point both are so inexperienced that it's laughable to think these are the guys that will take this team to the next level. We are a year or maybe even two ahead of our rebuild in terms of how quickly our young guys have been able to contribute... We need to turf this temp coaching staff and let them learn on the job somewhere else. Deboer would of been great, gallant is another excellent choice.. An actual seasoned coach that knows something about elevating teams at the nhl level. -

Blind loyalty towards Green continues for some fans. He's a nice guy, comes across as very personable.. The 31 thoughts interview was great, you want to like him. But being likeable doesn't = being a good coach. Green and Nolan Baumgartner are both new to coaching at this level and it shows. Neither of them have shown that they're some brilliant savant coaches at the minor level, they were quite average... Why do people think they'd be something amazing at the highest level with no experience? Theyre learning on the job, which would be fine for the rebuild.. But this teams window is now, and playoffs this year were/ still are a legitimate possibility. Proper experienced coaching would get them through. This late into the season however, I think we may be stuck seeing where this green train takes us. Hopefully gallant is still available in the summer. -

Rousell told Green he would "win it in da turd". Green unfortunately confused Rousell for Burrows. -
