  1. I’m with you. Believe me, I’ve met some awesome Canuck fans but I’ve also met some truly ridiculous ones too. I find it can go two ways:

There’s the ones that stick with the team through thick and thin and try to look at the positives, but aren’t afraid to be constructively critical when appropriate.

And then you have the incessant whiney fans that pick apart every little move JB makes and say he’s the worst GM ever. Even though he’s restocked an empty prospect pool, got us a very good young core that is just breaking into the NHL and making good hockey trades that will come valuable in playoff time. Every loss is all Green’s fault even though he’s done great things with This young team.

Unfortunately, the bandwagon crew is the loudest. I try my best to just tune out the noise.

We have a competitive team when our goalie plays like prime Hasek.

Our prospect pool is nothing special relatively speaking as all the other teams have similar prospects.

Madden could have been a cost-controlled 2-year ELC which would have been nice because idk if you've seen our cap situation but it isn't looking good. He could have slotted anywhere in the lineup, because, let's face it, we have garbage, overpriced wingers.

Oh noooo the world is ending!!

our prospect pool was ranked #8 in Sporting News and #13 by the Athletic and consistently hovers in the top 10 ish rankings (mind you before Madden left)  but yeah, I’d say our pool is pretty solid.

Madden hasn’t even turned pro, and is unproven. Not too mention is really light. Has good potential and made strides, but until he lights up Pro, he would not make it over Podkolzin or Hoglander. ELC apply to them too btw.

  3. He 100% deserved a suspension for that hit. It was a dangerous play to the head. No defending that.

But he’s also 100% correct about the DOPS. They throw the book hard at repeat offenders to make it look like they are doing something but then they let certain players get away with way worse offences, ex.  like Chara. That guy has done a lot of questionable hits and incidents but The DOPS refuses to ever punish him. It’s become a joke how bad it is.

  4. Anyone want to share their best Hank and Danny memories?

My and my bestie happened to be at the last home game in 2010 against Calgary when Daniel scored the between the legs hat-trick goal. Henrik got 4 points that made him pass Ovie for the league lead and ended up clinching the Art Ross the next day. It was unreal. Chants of “MVP” were everywhere in the building, out of the building and continued through the night. A night I will never forget.

Thank you Sedins. You’re inspirations for all people striving for decency in this world!:towel::wub:

  5. Ridiculous!

Rous clearly got fined because of his reputation and for the DOPS trying to cover their butts for their awful handling of suspensions. So Petey gets hit from behind on a dangerous play; no suspension or fine is given and something so minor like this worthy of a fine???

    Makes perfect sense! :picard:

Sharks are dying.....Crazy they signed EK long term.

I remember some fans wanted us to sign him in the off season. I was vehemently opposed to signing EK after seeing how much regression I saw in his play last season, but fans were chastising me for not wanting him.

Lol, I wonder where those mofos are Now? Bullet dodged!
