  1. Simmonds has had a good career. But he is only 185 lbs. Lind is only 19 and is already bigger than that with the possibility of being way bigger. But in terms of play style that would be good. Edit: good career not goof career lol...sorry
  2. Maroon is still out there. He would play higher in the line up than the 3 we just picked up. However, we already have a log jam up front. Personally, I would not mind getting Maroon to play with Horvat / Boeser or on a 2nd line with Petterson and someone. We would be a tougher team for sure!! We would definitely have to get rid of some bodies (although we already have to).
  3. I highly doubt the Sabres, Hurricanes or Red Wings are going to regret anything. The other three? I surely hope so!!
  4. I support the Canucks and watch every game every year, except for the occasional one. So yes, I follow the team. I want the Canucks to have good hockey players. There are always people that criticize hockey players personalities, like that is the deciding factor if a team wants them. It is pretty funny. Like no one wants E Kane..he is poisonous...etc etc. Whatever. I'm sure JB doesn't care if a poster feels Hutton "rubs them the wrong way" lmao. He and Green will care whether that player can play hockey properly and whether he has good pro habits on and off the ice. If not, those hockey experts will deal with it. Your choice of words is weird like Hutton rubbing you, and you would not hang out with him. Yea...ok.
  5. Totally agree. Saying a prospect can play after watching a prospect shinny game is as premature as a guy can get. Even Lind himself said he was surprised how he got pushed around at the AHL level. He definitely is not ready. He has to play in the AHL...who knows how many games though.
  6. Good for you...I guess?? Weird comment really and it has nothing to do with the hockey player imo.
  7. OOhhhh...that could be a very exciting line!!
  8. Virtanen has a zero percent chance of being in Utica in my opinion. He progressed well last year and has something very few on the team have...speed and size. He will not be seeing Utica.
  9. There is no consistency from fans. They all moan and groan about giving the kids chances. Then if the team was actually to put a kid into a position of responsibility such as 3C the fans say the team is throwing them to the wolves. In this case in particular, Gaudette is not a kid. He is going to be 22 and has played against men in the NCAA and gotten accolades for doing so. While I have not advocated for Gaudette to be given the 3C spot, maybe he should be considered as aGENT says above. Just look around the league. Many younger players similar to Gaudette have been given chances like this and have flourished. Look at William Karlsson in Vegas. Yes he is a couple years older than Gaudette, but before last year he had been given limited opportunity. He scores 9 goals in 2016, 6 in 2017. Last year he is given opportunity and he scores 43 goals. NO I am not comparing Gaudette to Karlsson. I am bringing up the issue that fans want our young guns to play but when put in the 'fans' complaint about it. There are lots of examples of guys younger than Gaudette being given opportunity and they flourished....look at our very own Boeser. And before him Horvat forced the coaches to play him more. Maybe the team does let Gaudette play 3C this year with two experienced wingers or at least one as aGENT detailed above. The Canucks are supposed to "suck" again this year anyway so what can they lose from trying it??
  10. Reading comprehension is important lol. Re read my post. No where did I say Gaudette would be our 3C. I said Gaudette, in all likelihood will not compete for a roster spot with the 3 new players. They are all brought in to provide experience and some grit at differing levels. If Gaudette competes for a spot on the Canucks it will be other players he will compete against...mostly our plethora of middling players such as....too many too list!! I guess your comments reflect why you are always arguing with someone on here lol.
  11. Interesting. I mean, none of the NHL scouts or GMs think that, but we are all allowed on own opinions no matter how different they are.
  12. Gaudette is not in any way competing with Roussel or Schaller for a spot. They both play wing. Beagle is a 4th line centre. I suppose there is a small possibility Gaudette would compete for that spot and I would suspect if that is what JB had in mind for him he will be in the AHL. If the team was looking at putting Gaudette in the 3C spot he is not competing with any one of the new signings. There is not a single Washington fan that says Beagle is a 3C. I only state that to head off that argument.
  13. The trade Stecher count is low because he holds very little value right now...still needs to get better and develop more.
  14. I thought cannabis wasn't legal for another few months. Medicinal?
  15. Good list. I don't think Virtanen can lose a spot though....at least not without giving him alot of time this year first.
  16. Minor issue but I am pretty sure Virtanen is closer to 220. He was almost 230 when people were crapping on him when he slowed down cuz of the weight.
  17. Exactly!! And they aren't even in the league anymore
  18. Wow....the hyperbole is strong in this one!!!
  19. Good thing they signed the new goalie coach today - Ian Clark. I don't know much about him but other posters here have been singing his praises!
  20. I like him already. Would have been nice to see that when Boeser had his back broken.
  21. IMO the problem was that the team needed Archi to play physically but after a few games he basically disappeared in that aspect of his game. He is the reason he is not being brought back imo.
