[Waivers] Madison Bowey

Hey champ....let the actual hockey professionals that get paid by the Canucks worry about the cap. You don't understand it enough to get all bent about it like you have been. -
[PTO] Landon Ferraro with Canucks
Kanukfanatic replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I guess his daddy hates the Canucks again? Meh....ferraro as a hockey commentator is about as useful as sekeres being one. No one would miss either if they disappeared off the face of the earth. -

You are a patient poster and I applaud you for it. You can't explain math to a donkey. Donkey's just can't add. But they are still funny to look at... -

Claim Bowey. Play him with Hughes for 10 games. Trade Bowey for a 2nd round pick. BOOM.....asset management!! -
I have to agree. I prefer Hughes over Svech.....even though my initial reaction was that I did not want a small D man.... I must have been on crack!!

This is kind of off topic, but I just noticed that Horvat, Hughes, and Monahan have the same amount of points. Gaudreau has one less than those three. And we have Petey / Boes / JT Miller all with more. Haha....so much for Calgary being ahead of us in any rebuild. Calgarysuk fans are pissed and talk a lot about trading Monahan. Awesome days......lol Edit: although both teams are tied with 34 points each (Canucks have one game in hand). We next play Calgary on Dec. 29 in Calgary. Looking forward to it. Double Edit: I forgot to mention Lucic the scoring machine. I guess that puts Calgary in a better spot than us going forward -
Gross Kane has 35 points and Boeser has 28 points. Kane gets paid 10.5 million per year and Boeser gets paid 5.8 million per year. 7 point difference is NOT worth a 1st round pick and Madden (who is turning out to be a high end prospect himself). Sorry, but that trade suggestion is absolutely gross. Thank God JB would never do it on this still rebuilding team (getting close to the end of the rebuild though). Edit: not to mention Kane is already 31 - that does not fit AT ALL with our young core players when they will be in their prime.

Every year posters make proposals for the number 1 or 2 overall draft picks. In real life it never happens, or rarely enough that it is close to never.

Rookie defenseman Quinn Hughes has as many points as Captain Bo Horvat this year so far in one less game. Bo Horvat 30gp 24pts Quinn Hughes 29gp 24pts Pretty sure that not even the most homerish poster here would have said that would happen lol.

Haha...Sekeres is an idiot. If you want a laugh, go back in this thread to page 8 (when we found out JB traded a 1st rounder) and read the comments. So many bad ones..... Edit: my own first comment also sucked lol. But I liked the trade shortly after when I was able to do more research on JT Miller - I did not know much about him at the time of the trade.

Tanev does not miss anywhere near half a season most years. See below: The hyperbole on here is always so thick. Tanev played the following percentage of games in the last 6 years: 18/19 67% 17/18 51% 16/17 65% 15/16 84% 14/15 85% 13/14 78% So in the last 6 years Tanev played only half the games ONCE. He played 65% and 67% of games in 2 of the last 3 years. Not anywhere close to just "half" the games. The people on here saying he barely plays any games are laughable. Yeah...he misses games. But not nearly as many as most Tanev haters like to say. Not a single AHL D man that we currently have could fill Tanev's shoes defensively in the NHL. They could barely carry his jockstrap.

Thanks for correcting me on his usage in russia. I don't watch any khl games. So he leads their team in minutes played? Good to hear. The khl is an inferior league to the NHL by far. Tryamkin was clearly a 3rd pairing D man when he played for the Canucks before. I like his size and strength but he was mediocre here before but ok as a 3rd pairing d man. I would love it if Tryam comes back and is able to play something other than 3rd pairing minutes. Actually, I would be fine if he comes back and is able to play solid consistent 3rd pairing minutes for the Canucks. His size is needed. However, starting some crap narrative that Tryam is something other than just an NHL 3rd pairing D is disingenuous. Tryam has never, in his career, shown he can be more than an NHL 3rd pairing D man. If he can, good on him and I would love it. But he is 25 already and has probably maxed out. There is a very small chance he can continue to develop at 25 yrs old but not likely at all. So posters trying to say he will be some kind of great 1st or 2nd pairing D man in the NHL are just making stuff up at this point. Case in point, the Canucks signed one of the best D men in the KHL in Larsen and all he did is flame out in the NHL.

Beagle should not be moved. And I could not care less about cap issues. That is JBs issue. Not sure why fans think they need to worry about it when they probably don't know much about it. But whatever..... -

I guess it will come down to what Green values the most. The worst ppg players are below: Eriksson is obviously gonna be gonzo. So the choice for the next guy to either get traded or waived may be Schaller or Motte. I don't think Beagle goes anywhere because of his centre position. -

Excellent post. I love that line. Roussel is a pain in the butt, hits, and digs hard. Gaudette is a real dog on a bone type guy. I can't say how many times, in the last while, I have seen him go hard after the puck and end up coming out with it. His D play needs work, but he is new to the league and that should come. JV has been playing well lately. He still needs to work on where he needs to be on our zone and some of his passes are so so. The line is great overall though. -

You probably move on from a winger rather than a centre such as Beagle. We have already seen how important he and Sutter are to this team. They take defensive pressure off the top lines. So I think it would be the wrong move to move Beagle or Sutter. Pick the least effective winger.
