  1. "We are excited to welcome another young defenseman like Olli to our organization," Panthers general manager Bill Zito said. "We look forward to Olli developing with our club as he joins our deepening core on the blueline."
  2. I don't see any of the new acquisitions making it on the Canucks. But that's just my opinion.
  3. I think OJ will do well in Florida. The pieces we got back are a bit of a head scratcher.
  4. In order to make it (sorta) work... VAN 50% retain Eichel BUF Hamonic Juulsen Lammikko Ferland Lol.
  5. So Canucks put Hamonic on waivers to terminate him?
  6. So what are the PK lines going to be? I fear this will be the Canucks Achilles Heel.
  7. I was never on the Fire Green bandwagon. But I'm starting to come around.
  8. Yep. I blame Green for not getting the lines (mostly) set. It takes a bit of time for new players to gel together. And Vancouver always get getting a crap schedule, they need to get points early as possible. Maybe loading up the top 2 lines is the way to go. Really wanted 3 scoring lines though. And need Hamonic back asap and get that RHD depth. QH needs a defensive D partner to cover up his gaffes.
  9. I see Green's masterplan. He told the regulars to not score. Then see which AHLers step up to keep a job. BRILLIANT!!!!!!! That's some 5D chess right there.
  10. Take a page from the Oilers and Kraken. They had their roster set after a few preseason games. The rest was to get the lines gelling. Also doesn't help that EP and QH held out too long and missed most of training camp. And Hamonic still out showing the lack of RHD depth.
  11. JB would know better about character issues than the rest of us. But even so, I'm pretty sure MT would yield a big return in a trade.
  12. Yeah. Top 10 pick. Why go for a single when they should be going for a homerun? Take a safe pick when you're drafting 4th-7th. At those rounds, you pretty much know what you're going to get.
  13. I remember that OJ was touted as the safe pick. Too bad injuries derailed his development. Would have chosen Tkachuk (bloodlines) or other high risk / high reward like Sergachev. Got to make those 1st round picks count.
  14. Guess OJ is on the outs. He'll probably get claimed when he's put on waivers.
  15. Yeah I hear ya. Was upset that Gadj got claimed but then someone said he didn't move the needle for the Canucks chances. Canucks are in a win now mode. But they still need to draft and develop players that can slot in wherever so they can have cheap ELC contracts as an option to keep the salary cap down.
