  1. From EP comments and listening to some podcasts, it sounds like it EP will be signing a bridge contract. Possibly similar to Barzel (maybe $7M x 3yr). Then it's the big money contract after that. If Canucks are trending in the right direction in those 3yrs, he'll stay a Canuck. If not, then he may jump ship and explore the market (kinda like Seth Jones declaration of not re-signing with CLB).
  2. Nope. Boeser is younger and a sniper that we need. He's close to becoming a 30+ goal scorer. If anything it would be Miller or Myers traded out. Plus, I just got a Boeser jersy. So I'm biased and want him to stay. Lol.
  3. The story mentions those eligible to get vaccinated but choose not to, don't get to join the fun. Under 12 cannot get vaccinated (yet). And there a some people for medical reasons cannot get vaccinated. The statement does not apply to them.
  4. Unvaccinated British Columbians may be denied entry to concerts, sporting events https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.citynews1130.com/2021/08/12/covid-19-bc-concerts-vaccine/amp/ If you refuse to get immunized against COVID-19, don't assume you will be entitled to attend a Canucks game or a concert, says B.C.'s top doctor.
  5. Nope. For a variety of reasons. Rampant Covid-19, gun violence, random assaults to elderly minorities, etc. Only place I'd consider is to go to Seattle just to take in a Kraken game and Hawaii (Maui). But even then, it's not a must. More of a want.
  6. Canada has already approved mix use vaccines. So while in Canada, I would think that would mean having mixed vaccines would count as fully vaccinated. And thereby people with mix vaccines would be able to attend Canucks games. Do not confuse USA rules and laws for Canadian rules and laws. Going over the border and seeing a Kraken game will be under USA rules and laws. So as it currently stands, mixed vaccines do not count as fully vaccinated.
  7. No. That will never happen. Owners love the cap as it keeps overall salaries down. And without the cap, you'd just get the big spenders. Leaving the small market teams to die a slow death.
  8. Denying healthcare would be the wrong road to travel. I can see that as a step towards USA style healthcare. My taxes go to pay for things I don't like and/or will never use. But I can see the greater good in doing so. Cuz I can't predict the future. And maybe one day, a relative/friend/etc may be in need of said services.
  9. Then find a job that allows employees to be unvaccinated. Or perhaps start their own business. Don't neccesarily need to go inside stores to get food. Most stores have delivery and curbside pick ups. Going anywhere would depend in where. Parks and beaches...probably OK to go unvaccinated. Private businesses, concerts, movies, events...well then that's up to the businesses to enforce their rules (in accordance to any relevant government acts). So no. Lives are not destroyed for the unvaccinated. They are restricted. Paraphrasing a saying... "You are free to choose. But you are not free from the consequences of your choice."
  10. Yeah. He definitely be easier to trade than OEL. Sucks but there is only so much $$ to go around.
  11. You kinda lost me there. How is anybody's life getting destroyed?
  12. Both medias pander to their base. But their actions towards vaccines is to actually get it instead of not taking it.
  13. You do know that FOX has mandated their employees get vaccinated right?
  14. Vaccine passports are coming to the Canucks. The last thing they need is a super spreader event shutting the team down. Think of of the lost gate revenue. No owner wants lost revenue. No owner wants their team catching Covid-19 (like last year) and derailing playoff aspirations (= more gate revenue).
  15. Yep. Sweep it under the rug asap. No justice for the victims. My only hope is that Bettman brings in some stronger language into the CBA that forces teams to do the right thing. They must have something about sexual misconduct/harassment. And something of consequence for failure to report to the NHL head office.
  16. Miller next contract will most likely be his last. Pretty much cemented as a versatile 1st liner. As he will be 30yr old when his contract is up...thinking max 5yrs. Somewhere between $6.5-7M would hopefully keep him here. Any more than that would be risky (ala LE). Plus TV deals and packed arenas should raise the cap slightly.
  17. Since AHL affiliate is in Abbotsford, the Canucks don't necessarily need to have a full 23 man roster. They could probably squeak by with a 21-22 man roster at times. Only problem is the possibility of losing a player on the waiver wire. Schenn will most likely stay up as the extra D. As for the extra forward, none of the players would be much of a loss if taken off the waiver wire. It would sting if BicMac or Gadj got taken though.
  18. Abbotsford Canucks home jersey sold out online https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.abbynews.com/sports/abbotsford-canucks-home-jersey-sold-out-online/amp/
  19. I feel too many people are throwing out the term generational like it was candy. To me it is someone who can dominate the game (Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby, Ovi, McDavid). I just don't see that in EP and QH. However, they are what I would consider Franchise players (#1C and #1D) that teams can build a team around. I think EP is around Aho level so about $8.5-9M long term. QH is a bit harder to gauge. Fantastic offensively but a bit weak defensively. So probably a bridge around $6.5-7 x 3-4yr.
  20. Hunt? The guys 5'9 and 32 yrs old. He's Abbotsford bound.
  21. Guessing Podz will go with #92 on his Jersey.
  22. Just picked up a Boeser #6 Reverse Retro Jersey. Any idea when and where players are doing signings? Would like to get it autographed if I can.
  23. Ok. And thanks again for the link. Really appreciate it.
