Thanks for the link. So scientists were researching mRNA for 30yrs. Then did clinical trials on animals, then clinical trials on humans. Then Covid-19 vaccines came out. So I'm not sure what else you wanted them to do? Seems to me that they followed a logical scientific process in developing the vaccine.

Elias Pettersson | Quinn Hughes - Contract Discussion Thread

Did I enter the Twilight Zone? Could have sworn I was in the EP/QH contract extension thread. Instead it's about OEL. Bizarro. -
Nice quote. Please provide a link from where you got that from. Thanks.

My guess would be Miller. He has the best value and would net alot in return. It's also easier for a young prospect winger to jump into the NHL than a D man. Also Canucks have no one to replace Myers unless Woo makes a massive leap forward. -

I can live with EP getting that much. Not thrilled with QH at that price and term. If that is what it takes, I'd rather trade QH for to NJ for Smith and a boatload of prospects and picks. -

I don't agree with signing max 8 years for each. Need to stagger those massive contracts for better cap flexibility. As posted before ... EP = $8 x 7 QH = $7 x 6 I have more faith in EP reaching his top potential as a #1 franchise center. The question mark with QH is if he can be sound defensively. He can't grow anymore and put on massive weight. So he could still have some troubles along the boards and be bumped off the puck. -

Hindsight is 20/20. Who knew that JB could pull off that massive trade with ARI? NO ONE. Losing Pearson and then still having all those bad contracts = bottom feeder again next season. -

Are you suggesting that EP gets $10 and QH gets $8? Or both EP and QH gets $9? -

I'm all for long term deals that some people posted (EP $8×7, QH $7×6). We can still be cap compliant. Might require Canucks having a shorter roster to fit it under the cap. Like a 21-22 man roster instead of 23. -
Probably not revelling. But more like apathy? Like ... do not care anymore if anti-vaxxers die because they themselves chose not to take a life saving vaccine. Much like the gun violence in the USA. After so much news of it happening everyday, you become numb to it. And trying to convince anti-vaxxers is like talking to a wall. Nothing will change until they lose someone close to them. And even then, they might not change their mind.

[Signing] Oilers re-sign Darnell Nurse

Would have to agree. As much as I like QH, a contract like that would kill any depth. -

For Petterson...on a long term deal...somewhere between $7-9M. Personally I think he slots in around Draisaitl and Aho. So around $8.25-$8.5M. -

NJ just traded for Graves this season. Highly unlikely he'd be traded to get Quinn. And trying to trade Meyers along with him is also unlikely. Same with asking for 2 x 1sts. Perhaps... QH for Smith, Holtz or Bahl, top 10 protected 1st 2022 (that slides to unprotected 1st 2023). NJ gets the better player and re-unite the brothers. Canucks get a cost controlled LHD in Smith. Hopefully OEL rebounds to form to carry the load allowing Smith to ease into the #2 LHD. Get a top prospect in Holtz/Bahl. And a 1st 2022 (or potentially an unprotected 1st 2023). However I wouldn't do this trade unless QH wants out.

The notion of vaccines causing mutations of Covid-19 is ridiculous. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/variants/variant.html Read the link. Variants of Covid-19 were already out there prior to vaccines even being developed. Unless you believe in Government worldwide conspiracies.

Instead of loading up one line, I'd like them to roll out 3 scoring lines and 1 energy defense line. Dickinson EP Boeser Pearson Bo Garland Hogz Miller Podz Motte Sutter Highmore Gadj BigMac And reunite Lotto line once in awhile if we are down in some games. OEL Poolman Huggy Ham OJ Myers Schenn Demko Halak

Assuming Canucks make the playoffs and goes deep. Would fans be willing to trade #1 2022 to ARI for a 2 x 2nd 2022 (early and late 2nd round draft picks)? Recoup some draft picks? This would give ARI 3 x 1sts + 3 x 2nds.
