  1. Probably D and a better G depth. Relying on 22yr Carter Hart in net was a mistake. He shat the bed this year.
  2. One of the news article says PHI willing to move him on the cheap. Highest point totals are 30pts. He's 22yr old and 6'2 and 198lbs. Seems too early to give up on him. But if PHI is wanting a change ... I wonder if Virtanen + 2nd would land Patrick.
  3. Quick. Trade Ferland to TO for a 3rd or whatever. Lol.
  4. Oh well. What's done is done. He's a Canuck for 3 years. The saving grace is that he gels with Bo. My wish is for Green to make 3 solid scoring lines + 1 checking line. Spread the minutes. No more of these crappy 5min games for some of the players. Keep it more balanced to keep the legs fresh.
  5. I know. JB is the master GM. He's got a deal with SEA to trade Roussel to them if SEA picks LE in the expansion draft. Lol
  6. Maybe ... maybe not. I've read that teams learned their lesson from the Vegas expansion. So maybe there will be less teams offering picks for SEA to take a certain player. So if there there are less teams offering picks, then perhaps SEA will take on a bad contract in order to get more draft picks. I know. Wishful thinking. Lol.
  7. Maybe JB already has a deal in place with Seattle for them to pick LE at a cost of a 2nd. And therefore JB is comfortable with offering TP that contract.
  8. We should have Podz coming in next year who will probably start on the 3rd line and hopefully move onto the 2nd like Hogs. Think a 2yr contract for TP would have been better.
  9. If he's not in the lineup with the Canucks next season, then
  10. *Drool* This guy is gonna be a monster for the Canucks.
  11. The ones who should be kicking themselves is BOS. They had the 3 consecutive picks at #13-15 before Isles drafted Barzel at #16. Lol.
  12. The NHL could probably get a special exemption to allow the Canucks to field 2 complete rosters to play all the remaining games. Split squads filled with NHLers and AHLers. What a gong show that would be.
  13. I think if Pearson gets re-signed it should only be a 2 year. That would be just when Miller and Bo needs to be re-signed. It would allow Canucks some cap space. Thinking 2.5M x 2 yr.
  14. So what's the plan now? Call up all the AHLers and prospects? Hope to get some wins and maybe some prospects catch lightning in a bottle?
  15. If you are disciplined and can pay it off in 10 years, then go for it. Cuz lots can change in even 5 years. I tried the pay it off as fast as I can. But life happens, then wife and kids, and suddenly bigger trips than usual. Live life like a hermit or keep the wife and kids happy by giving them some good memories. I chose the latter after trying the former.
  16. Went for a walk at False Creek yesterday. Almost everyone (walking/jogging/biking/etc) not wearing a mask outside. It wasn't shoulder to shoulder but certainly not 2m apart.
  17. Lol. Reading some of Damion Cox tweets. Saying people misunderstood him. Talk about tone deaf. He's a supposed journalist. If you can't get your point across without people misunderstanding, that's on you.
  18. Think the agents will advise their clients (EP40 and Huggy) to take a short term deal to ride out the flat cap. So probably 3-4yr deals. Think something similar to Boeser contract. So maybe 7M X 4yr for EP and 6.0M x 3yr for Huggy. Not sure when they become UFA. So adjust length of contract to ensure they remain RFA when contract expires.
  19. So you saying the Canucks will make the playoffs just like that movie? Lol.
  20. VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Several more Vancouver Canucks players have entered the NHL’s COVID-19 protocol, according to reports across the league. “I’m hearing that more Canuck players have tested positive,” The Athletic’s Rick Dhaliwal told Sportsnet 650 Friday morning. “I’m not surprised. I’m trying to get it confirmed, but when the league announces the COVID list today, could be an interesting number in Vancouver — that’s what I’ve been told.”
  21. You're probably right about Sutter 50% is worth a 2nd. Was just focusing on getting a deal done with PIT given their circumstances.
  22. Rather than starting a new thread in proposal...I'm gonna make it here instead. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/nhl-rumour-roundup-penguins-eye-centre-bruins-want-winger/sn-amp/ From the Article, looks like PHI wants a goalie. So thinking a trade something like this... Holtby + Benn for Ghost + Elliott. PHI gets a vet G that won a Stanley Cup and gets a vet D. VAN gets better D depth in Ghost (hopefully improves his game) and a cheaper backup G that we can hopefully re-sign cheap and left to be exposed for the expansion draft. The downside is that Ghost $4.5M contract runs til 2023.
  23. NHL Rumour Roundup: Penguins eye centre, Bruins want winger https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/nhl-rumour-roundup-penguins-eye-centre-bruins-want-winger/sn-amp/ I don't typically start up topics so please be kind. From the article, it sounds like PIT needs cente depth. So was thinking a trade of something like... Sutter (50% retained) for 3rd 2022 and 5th 2021. PIT doesn't have their 1st, 3rd, and 4th for the next draft. The article also mentions that they don't want to part with their 2nd.
