  1. It's a quid pro quo. I'm sure if the exec goes home, we also get our guys back as well.
  2. The thing is...they are directly helping Canada in our time of need. I'm not opposed to Canada dropping the case for the Huawei exec. As a gesture of good will. For the 5G...that would really depend on what is the better system for Canada.
  3. Alberta’s government is using coronavirus as a shield for laying off education workers https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/opinion/article-albertas-government-is-using-coronavirus-as-a-shield-for-laying-off/ On March 28, Alberta chose to lay off roughly 25,000 education workers, including those providing critical support to many families now struggling to provide home schooling with the kindergarten-to-Grade 12 system shut down. If true...what a crap move.
  4. Bedridden for days, young Canadians with COVID-19 say illness is ‘no joke’ https://www.google.ca/amp/s/globalnews.ca/news/6775528/young-canadians-coronavirus-warning/amp/
  5. One thing the Feds or Provinces can do is give tax credits to companies that have employees work some or all the time at home. Less people out there, less congestion on the roads, less carbon footprint, more social distancing, etc.
  6. Not about putting lives at risk. But just remember how the current USA is like and maybe next time we shouldn't be so accommodating.
  7. I know of Mustang Survival. They make PFD (aka life jackets) and other stuff. They're in Burnaby.
  8. How long is the shutdown expected to last? I'm hearing end of June or July as some schools are thinking of shutting down for the year. Unfortunately the economy can't last in this situation. At some point, the whole world will need to go back to work whether or not the pandemic is over. The last thing the world needs is another Great Depression.
  9. CANADA WILL NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN: Ford says manufacturing of our own supplies is a must https://www.google.com/amp/s/torontosun.com/news/national/canada-will-never-let-this-happen-again-ford-says-manufacturing-of-our-own-supplies-is-a-must/amp I must say...despite all the other stuff...he's taking charge. I always felt Canada needs to bring back manufacturing. This is a step in the right direction.
  10. Yep. My brother-in-law said the same thing about Italy. 60M people in an area the size of a boot.
  11. Well the majority of Koreans I know smoke. So perhaps that is a factor to consider as well.
  12. Ask your boss if he ever seen Bieksa fight? Then...BAM!!
  13. In addition to the online classes, I'm getting my kids to do work booklets (at 1 grade higher than they are currently enrolled in). Homework before any play time. They hate it.
  14. Also Swine Flu (H1N1). I believe that started in the USA.
  15. A bit off topic but related. Due to social distancing and reduced foot traffic in Downtown Vancouver, there has been a sharp increase in store related thefts where thieves smash the display windows and steal stuff Now stores have boarded up their windows.
  16. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-Ko00kpBE5/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet Trying to post a Ryan Reynolds Instagram. Hope it works.
  17. Check out Canadian Tire. They sell TP as well.
  18. Join the military. They take care of their own.
  19. Cuz Trump believes he can stop the virus from entering the US with military might. Lol
  20. Holy!!! Drinking party at King Heffy!!!!
  21. How is the Apple Crown Royal? I was thinking of getting it in the next trip.
  22. Well my Sister in Law (works at a hospital) says they are running out of face masks. Maybe enough for 1 more week. They had patients and people walking in from the streets (and possibly staff) steal boxes of them. Now it's under lock and key.
