  1. Probably because our D hasn’t improved. Still looks like we are going with… QH Schenn OEL Myers Dermott Burroughs ?? ?? And relying on Demko to be Vezina calibre every night. Don’t think we are in the top 3 in the Pacific Division (LV, EDM, CAL) and would be in the wild card mix with LA and NSH. So definitely not a guarantee to be a playoff team.
  2. Myers + Garland to SEA for Larsson + 2nd Then sign Klingberg. QH Klingberg OEL Larsson Rathbone Dermott
  3. Calgary is better off trading Hub and Weeger. Both 50% retained. Would each fetch 1st + prospect + player. Jumpstart the rebuild asap. Tank to the bottom for a chance for Bedard. And supposedly next draft is a deep draft.
  4. Probably cuz instead of getting picks back, CBJ has to spend a 1st + Nyquist for the popular Mr. Future Considerations.
  5. For sure Laine would be the choice over Boeser. Goal scorers are a premium. And yes…Laine is overpaid. But like others mentioned…Boeser is a better cap hit. Not sure an extra 10-15g warrants an additional $2M in cap space.
  6. So last season, Boeser doesn’t get a pass? EDIT…went to get stats… Boeser 2017-18 62gp 29g 26a 55pts 2018-19 69gp 26g 30a 56pts 2019-20 57gp 16g 29a 45pts 2020-21 56gp 23g 26a 49pts 2021-22 71gp 23g 23a 46pts Seems pretty consistent to me and not a decline Laine 2016-17 73gp 36g 28a 64pts 2017-18 82gp 44g 26a 70pts 2018-19 82gp 30g 20a 50pts 2019-20 68gp 28g 35a 63pts 2020-21 46gp 12g 12a 24pts 2021-22 56gp 26g 30a 56pts If you are claiming Boeser is steadily declining, then would Laine be also steadily declining???
  7. So Laine gets a pass for a poor season while Boeser doesn’t. Nice to know.
  8. Nyquist is good as gone. Probably traded for future considerations.
  9. And the same could happen to the Canucks. Just saying. Flames had a good run. But now are left picking up the pieces and need a new direction/plan/etc.
  10. News like this need to brought out in the open. In hopes it will prevent future $&!# like this.
  11. Think Pearson will also be traded for a draft pick. McDonough (LW) showed well at the development camp and is looking to go pro.
  12. With Boeser re-signing and the Mik signing…yeah…Garland seems to be the guy to be moved if Miller stays.
  13. $7M x 8yr?? Sign the man already. Even if his production drops in the later years, it’ll probably be in the 50-60 pts. That’s around what the Sedins were producing before they retired.
  14. The longer this drags on, the more I’m led to believe that Miller will play for the Canucks with no contract extension in place. Come TDL, if Canucks are in the hunt or firmly in the playoffs, Miller will not be traded. Canucks makes the playoffs but bow out in the 1st or 2nd round (depends on the match up). Then Miller walks as a UFA to the team of his choice and the $$ + term that he wants.
  15. From what I pieced together (on this thread) team wants $40M 6yr contract while Miller wants $60M. So a compromise.. $50M. Around $8-8.25M x 6yrs.
  16. I’m sure he loves to be here at $10M x 8yrs. Last I heard was they were far apart on the contract front.
  17. Think they got Kuz by promising top 6 minutes. Maybe… Kuz Miller Garland Podz EP Mik Pearson Bo Boeser Bo gets a sniper on his wing.
  18. JG: I’m going to CBJ MT: Tell them to make cap space for me next year.
  19. No worries. MT will accept the 1yr arbitration with the Flames. It’s about getting that playoff experience right? Return of assets is a crap shoot anyways.
