  1. Holy cow how is he still in the league lol. AHL bound.
  2. Loved Burroughs, sad to see him go. He had the biggest heart out there on many, many nights.
  3. Myers for Labanc straight across? Take and run Allvin. That's a win win, you shed $1.5 + immediately and it's his last year of the contract, which would likely come much cheaper after this one's done if they wish to re-sign.
  4. Beavillier is almost doubling Horvats point total thus far with thiernew team. Horvat only has 9 points in 20 games. Not surprising i figured Bo playing in a very defense first system would have that effect
  5. Another one of those night where Garland looks every bit his salary. He's played really well lately
  6. This is a terrible take, sorry. Hughes and Petey not only made the team their first year, they were immediate impact players. They were never developing prospects in the AHL. If you think our prospect pool is worse now than a few years ago you have been living under a rock.
  7. lol Lekkerimaki is 18 holy moly wayyyy to early to call him a bust. Tage Thompson didn't score more than 20points until he was 24...you're writing off a teenager who was just drafted less than 12 months ago....you're losing credibility here. I'm not sure what sandpaper you're referring to with Karlsson either, not a noted part of his game. Size or "two way game" does not = sandpaper.
  8. Agree, but players like Raty, Lekkerimaki, Klimovich, Podz don't necessarily get developed to play bottom 6 roles. They are all high skill guys what have been prolific scorers in their careers, they play a skill game and are offensive minded...they will be groomed and likely expected to play top 6 roles. They may start bottom 6 to watch their minutes, but the end goal for those guys would 100% be future top 6 skill guys. I think all of those guys are capable of doing so...that's typically where 1st / 2nd rounds picks like Lerkkerimaki, Podz, Raty, Klim would be drafted to play.
  9. He's 21 and has played majority in the AHL this year and hasn't carved out a full time role...that's a prospect in my eyes anyway.
  10. Pods Raty Hogz Kravstov Lekkerimaki Bloom Pettersson Klimovich Jurmo Silovs Rathbone Kudryavtsev Karlsson Mcdonough Bains Johansson We are starting to get some depth in our pool, maybe not any "blue chip" players, but the cupboards are getting stocked bit by bit. It's much brighter than it was a few years ago. There are def. some forwards in there with top 6 potential.
  11. I was just saying signing an over PPG defensive prospect is pretty tough to pick apart, especially since it's an area (D) of weakness for this team...
  12. Pretty tough to find the negatives with this one, although I'm sure the typical offenders will...
  13. I think this article is pretty sensationalized by a local writer TBH - trying to pump the tires of the trade., Beavilliers numbers are even more impressive since being traded.
  14. Bedard is a local boy, the Canucks are his favorite team...one way or another there's a good chance he signs here one day...one would think.
  15. It really put it into perspective when AHL guys come in and not just fill the void, but play notably more impactful hockey. Wolanin would have 4 goals easily already, and he's +4., I know part of that is Demko being back and perhaps better systems play but it's still relevant. This blueline looks better without OEL than with him, it's pretty easy to see with the eye test.
  16. This may fire up some folks but I'm going to make a statement: Wolanin is a more dynamic offensive player, and more dependable defensively than OEL. Take it or leave it.
