Those are good points for sure, I don't agree with what JT did....especially considering at the time Delia was a very inexperienced backup goalie with us...he was right to wait for the benches signal and Bruce confirmed that so I'm on your side for sure. I'm saying there is a time and place, practice or the dressing room....not on the ice in front of everyone to see and hear that's for sure. It wasn't warranted, Delia was doing the right thing.

Would like to see Mercer in there somewhere. -
Passion and emotion can be good things, it's not like the NHL doesn't have super passionate and emotional players and coaches who are highly successful. I've read some stories about players like MacKinnon, Johnathan Toews, Sid etc. holding guys accountable...pretty interesting for sure. It's ok to show emotion....guys not saying anything and not wanting conflict or uncomfortable conversations is likely part of the reason this team is where it is and has been labeled with the "country club" moniker.

I don't know what level of hockey you played, but in my experiences that stuff happens on the ice often enough (more so practice)....maybe with words more than the obvious physical emotion JT showed but that's not that out of the ordinary for a group of uber competitive players trying to win. I would agree doing it on a national broadcast in a professional league is not ideal, nor should it have happened.

Yeah I mean the WJHC aren't always a good measuring stick for a players future. There's lots of players that have underperformed or been mediocre there that have been great Pro's and vice versa. These are teenagers at the end of the day. I'm not worried, he'll get bigger and stronger and with more coaching etc. He's an 18 year old playing with men. There are quite a few highly regarded players on that Sweden team that didn't have great tournament (Fabian Lysell being one of them too), Lekkerimaki has had bad luck with injuries this year, concussion, mono, now a foot injury. I'm not ready to write off an 18 year old who we just drafted quite yet...he was highly regarded in the draft he just didn't suddenly forget how to be a good player.

Tank Hard for Bedard - Playoff chances are already Slim

Except Sandin-Pelikka is a top 10 pick on many boards, so wouldn't really be a reach. Honestly once your outside the top 5 or 6 it becomes more unpredictable. My question is, with only one draft with the Canucks - and all of those players still years away from showing what they are. What information are you using to come to the conclusion that you don't trust Allvin's drafting? -

In a normal year with no Bedard type player, probably. Not this year though. -
