Just like any other topics in life, most people want a simple answer told to them by some guy on YouTube so they don't actually have to do any work to figure the truth.

I've been his subscriber since 2017. He is VERY biased when it comes to Vancouver Canucks. He feels that he is entitled to act this way because he had PTSD from following the Canucks for decades. He is not very objective when it comes to praising other teams. He overlooks their weaknesses and tells you that all things may work out perfectly for other teams. He is by far the most knowledgeable and RELATIVELY speaking objective hockey YouTuber. He is still very subjective in his analysis.

It's Ken Holland's fault that he bridge deal-ed Nurse the second time.

Why is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan starting a thread in Canucks thread? Get lost

Like trading 1st round pick for an injury prone goalie?

You are being a homer when it comes to the Oilers. You need to watch more Oiler games to realize how good they are. Are they a legit Cup contender? Not yet. They are however a great regular season team. You need to spend more time watching Darnell Nurse. He is not perfect and he won't be getting the money he got if he was still RFA. However he is a legit #1 D albeit on the lower tier.

For anyone with a Bell or Rogers subscription, thank you for supporting your Toronto Maple Leafs

Pettersson uncertain about future with Canucks ( article)

Many hockey players prefer stability for their children until they get older. The Sedins, Edler they all considered this when their contracts were up. Edler's kids are older now so he can relocate to L.A. -

Alf, do you happen to have sisters? I don't think any Van girls have piqued Petey's interest so far. -

He hasn't made his own family here yet. I don't think any of the Van ladies interest him. If his kids attend school in the Lower Mainland I doubt he would leave. -
Which is why I was not particularly intrigued with this year's draft. Hogs had a higher ceiling during his draft year than most of the forwards available at 9th overall.

There is a serious likelihood Garland will finish the remainder of his contract on LTIR considering how he plays around the boards and his size disadvantage, -

He is scheduled for arbitration on August 20, according to NHLPA.

Elias Pettersson | Quinn Hughes - Contract Discussion Thread
Maddogy replied to Bertuzzipunch's topic in Canucks Talk
So you are a NHL G.M. You are a member of the old boys club of hockey dudes. You are tendering Pettersson this offer sheet which you know Vancouver will match and thus the only purpose is to screw the lowly Canucks who at this point are not even a threat to your team's chances to win the Cup. Why? So 31 other G.M.'s will think you are an A-hole and watch out for you or worse screw you down the road? -
Elias Pettersson | Quinn Hughes - Contract Discussion Thread
Maddogy replied to Bertuzzipunch's topic in Canucks Talk
It's not maybe. J.B. confirmed in his radio interviews that wasting a season is not an option. He stressed how during his season ending interviews with players and staffs that they told him how last season was very upsetting. Obviously J.B. did not disclose the actual words uttered by the players and coaches. It all make sense now why he promised to be aggressive during the offseason. -
[Discussion] Escalating market price for defencemen (Quinn Hughes)
Maddogy replied to grandmaster's topic in Canucks Talk
It is a matter of semantics of course. Brian Leetch was considered a number 1 even though his D zone play was less than reliable. -

Maddogy replied to Arrow 1983's topic in Canucks Talk
If the Golden Knights in their inaugural season can assemble a Stanley Cup Finals worthy defence then this Canucks defence can certainly go to the Finals as well. However, it is a question whether luck will favour the Canucks, very unlikely. -
[Signing] Red Wings re-sign Jakub Vrana
Maddogy replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
If Detroit thought he would turn into a top player they would have locked him up for 8 years instead of allowing him to step into free agency in 3 years. -
I only watched him during the playoffs. He was not very effective without the puck. Even with the puck, he was too small to penetrate the opposing team's defence. He had a decent shot but nothing else exceptional. Kevin Fiala was much more impactful against the Canucks during the playoffs last year.

[Signing] Canucks re-sign Olli Juolevi

Chances are this is his last season as a Canuck. Not many Canucks on an one year show me deal make it to the next year. Enjoy this season folks.
