  1. I think most likely is around 3 x $6.75 I don' think the parties are likely to reach a consensus on longer term deal.
  2. Garland is a better skater and more of a play driver. Boeser is slower but heavier. I think Boeser is more suited for play styles that teams such as the Islanders employ. It is better if Canucks can replace Boeser with a play driving winger.
  3. Watching the Dallas game, I actually thought Pods' potential should be similar to Roope Hintz but as a winger.
  4. This also proves how wrong many of us were supporting the decision to let Chris Tanev go.
  5. Obviously J.B. could not micro-manage each pick. He did participate in group meetings including the periodic scout meetings as well as the final prospect meetings before each NHL draft. He would have heard all of the debates which produced the final prospect ranking. He would have had a very rough recollection of internal debates regarding pros and cons of each player through 7 rounds of selection. J.B. would have kept track of the wins and fails of each scout. He would have asked his scouts to look for certain physical and mental traits in North America as well as Europe. The hits and misses are a lot of times luck. However, I do think that he would have had a strong opinion of his scouts' performances since he was a scout for a long time. I think it would be unfair to pin a particular pick as the single handed result of J.B. I'm sure that Juolevi was highly ranked by Canucks on their internal prospect ranking which was produced by the entire scouting team. However, you can say that J.B. managed and maintained a talented and very competent scouting department throughout the years.
  6. I am on a healthy diet with regular gym sessions. I think I can give it 40 more years to live through multiple rebuilds as necessary to see the day. My gut feeling is that this management group will not win the Cup but it will be the next cohort.
  7. Hindsight is 20/20. Many people mentioned how Chris Tanev was on the decline and injury prone. I was one of them. Boy were we wrong. J.B. is an average G.M. He is not a fortune teller. He makes his bets and he wins some and loses some. OEL may have a major resurgence next year and become a #1 D again or his decline may accelerate. Neither one will surprise me.
  8. Ya the old regime did not know what they were doing trading for J.T. Miller. That 1st round draft pick was wasted no questions.
  9. How much did J.B. pay you to spread fake news on this forum of truth
  10. J.B.: Well you know, Travis is a young puck moving defenseman. He is physical he can skate. I think he can really take another step in his development with us here. I feel we have a really good group of defensemen that can control the game from our own end. We have Hughes and Ekman Larsson. Now we are adding another piece to the puzzle and we are ready to compete down the stretch here.
  11. This has been a good trade deadline for Boeser. He is getting that $7.5 M QO.
  12. We got rid of one of the fastest Canucks skater on the team for nothing but one of the worst skaters Boeser is still here. I am very glad that the new super duper management team is in charge.
  13. At least J.B. loved the players that he drafted and acquired. He would have never dumped his beloved Motte for a freaking 4th round pick like he is worthless.
  14. J.B. may have been an average NHL G.M., but he sure saved the ownership from overpaying corporate executives.
  15. What is the point of spending all that money hiring new super duper corporate executives if they are not ostensibly better than J.B.?
  16. Now we have to listen to our GM's broken English and find out why he sucked. I do however suspect that his broken English is a convenient excuse for him to dodge some straight forward questions.
  17. All the senior executives we hired and all we get is this garbage. I am starting to miss J.B.
  18. Teams like Calgary, Florida and Colorado are expected to shed players this offseason due to cap issues. This would further lower Miller's value.
  19. The current management team is doing a fantastic job of preserving J.B.'s Vancouver Canucks
  20. That does not make any sense. Arizona will be asking for players/prospects cheaper than Boeser.
  21. If J.B. is still in charge, people would go ballistic. What, are we trading another 1st round draft pick?
  22. If you think Pettersson and Boeser frustrate the heck out of Canuck fans Lafreniere is gonna give fans in the Lower Mainland stomach ulcers.
  23. Legit top pairing D prospects are not available. You have to draft RD or trade for prospects that are not slam dunks but may turn into one.
