Yeah.. If it plays out that way a two year term @ 1mil / yr seems reasonable IMO. He may get offered more though by another team but it is all speculation at this point.

I must admit that I am a bit conflicted when it comes to Luke Schenn. The Canucks might be able to get a very good return for his services at the trade deadline but his availability may depend on where the team is in the standings as the TD looms. He might be amenable to being traded to a contender as a rental for the Stanley Cup run and still re-sign with Vancouver in the off season. That could be a win for both him and the team if it does play out that way.

Don't we wish. $1.68 here in the E. Kootenay

It will be a good test for the Abby Canucks playing Sautner and the Moose these next two home games. -
Abby usually has the lowest prices in the lower mainland.

$1.68.9 here in the E. Kootenay. Dropped by .20 in the last two weeks.

Curious as to why you think that.

Good to see Pod's get a goal tonight even if it was an empty netter. -

I could see them being selective sellers. Pearson comes to mind as they could pick up a draft pick and make a bit more cap room for the off season. There could be other forwards depending on their play and what they can get for them on the market. Canucks have demonstrated that with the emergence of Kuzmenko as a legit top 6. Pearson has become expendable.
-
As much as Pearson has been a decent player for the Canucks, IMO, he will be moved at the trade deadline. His cap space could be better utilized on a younger player or for draft pick(s).
-
If he shows that he can maintain the same pace up to the trade deadline, I would be fine with a 7yr $4,750,000 term and dollar value. Cap is said to be going up substantially so this would, IMO, be a very good deal for the Canucks.

High time that management considers sending both Rathbone and Podkolzin down to Abby for a 5 or 6 game stint. They need ice time just as much as off ice video watching and sitting for extended periods is doing neither a favor IMO. Both are waivers exempt and Abby's next 6 games are all home games. -
I would rather had them give up a player with less "potential" upside. That being said, Covid affected the progression of a lot of prospects and many may require an additional year to develop. He is 24 so this is the year he needs to put it all together or he may be destined to be an AHL player for most of his career.

This may well be the rebound effect happening. For a couple of years Flu and cold symptoms were greatly reduced because many people were masked up. Their resistance to the flu and common cold waned because they were not being exposed to them like before. Now that masks are not being worn by a lot of people and esp. school children; their resistance to them has been lowered. Wife's sister in the Edmonton area says that absentee rates are around 13-15%. Her daughter, who is a Dr.told me that it is around 30% right now in our area and the hospital is very busy with sick adults and children

It really sucked that we lost him to expansion

Nice comparison Fred. Karlsson is 23., Klim is 19. Lets see where he is at when he is 23. Oh. by the way, I do not drool over every prospect as you have implied. He has a long ways to go for sure but to write him off at 19 is just plain stupid.
-
Klim moved to a foreign country, is trying to learn a foreign language and hockey systems that he probably is not very familiar with. He is 19 yrs old playing in a men's pro league and already the knives are out..... SHEESH!
-
If he is learning from the Sedin's, he is in good hands.

I'm hoping that a rivalry builds up between Calgary and Abby that helps draw fans in. Properly marketed, it would be beneficial for both teams. -
