Hope they don't wear out his shooting arm by signing all those signatures

Some clarification on the rules regarding NCAA players and NHL/AHL and playoff status. Nice posting by Faber. -
I hope they are able to sign Livingstone but not sure if they would start him as a top 4 right away. If he is signed, it may take some time for him to adjust to the speed of the game at the NHL level
-
That may well happen but I do think that RT will try them out together first. Without all the other hoped for changes yet to occur; I think them playing together is the most likely scenario for the rest of this year.

Good to see Brady Keeper back from his injury and playing again, Same goes for John Stevens

Lots of conjecture Alf but that is what CDC is all about; other than Myers I like your D man setup. Pretty sure Myers will be traded or bought out in the off season to free up cap space. If they are so lucky to sign Livingstone; then I could eventually see a D lineup like this: Hughes - Hronek OEL - Bear Livingstone- Dermott Brisebois/ Wolanen - Juulsen All conjecture on my part as well but I think I could live with that till they can move on from OEL

Wolanin, Juulsen and Podkolzin were the ones papered down, Brisebois was not.

If they should be so lucky as to land Livingstone from the NCAA; he is also an option for the right side -

I wonder if he starts tonight as well? -
Depending on who they draft in the 1st round and sign as FA's from the NCAA; I can see him re-signed to a one way contract, if the price and term are right.

I believe he would have to be papered down and wasn't. He will play the rest of the season with Vancouver. IMO; he is very likely to be qualified and on the Canucks next year as the 3rd or 4th LD.

[discussion] options to clear cap space

They will free cap space from the Ferland contract ending as well as no longer paying for retention on Horvat or the dead cap on Virtanen and Holtby. That is $7,275,000 off the cap right there. As for Poolman, Pearson and Dermott if they are no longer on LTIR then Pearson should have trade value and a decision on Poolman or Dermott will probably be made, IMO, and one of them will be moved. -
I think you have Drance confused with Faber. Faber comes across as knowledgeable and fairly unbiased in his opinions whereas Drance comes across as just the opposite IMO.

That is a very impressive list of defensemen to surpass.

I feel that way about Tanev; if he could have stayed healthy he might still be with the team
