  1. Do you buy $hit off Amazon ? If so you are one of the people giving Bezos his power. Just for the record I don't buy anything on line let alone from that company. Dude was a book seller not that long ago. Do you believe that such a diverse group of people such as Ping,Putin,Dutuerte,Bolsanaro,Trudeau,Johnson ,Morrison,Orban,Mohdi, the Salman's,Bennett,Kahn,Suga,Jong Un,Ardern,Nieto, Ramaphosa,Widodo, just to name a few,who were elected at different times and in some cases are diametrically opposed both by ideology and religious beliefs, are part of some cabal that rules the world ? People only have power over you if you invest that power in them. I have to obey the laws of the land which mostly fit my moral dynamic of treating others the way I wish to be treated, however no one is the boss of me. Even me who employs me.

    Tennis

That cakeface donated over 5 million in charity in 2020 alone. Also he donated 250,000k to help people that were affected by our devastating fires here in Aus. One of his donations last year will help feed 64,000 vulnerable kids in Africa. This to me is far more impressive than anything he has done on a tennis court and illustrates what sort of person he really is. https://www.republicworld.com/sports-news/tennis-news/roger-federer-has-donated-38-crore-only-for-charity-in-2020-so-far.html
  3. This is a bit bitter sweet however what Sandler O'Neill did before he died, trying to save more people, and the actions of the bank he worked for after 9/11 renew my faith in human nature. https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/bank-that-lost-66-workers-on-911-has-paid-for-kids-college/ It's a pretty emotional article.
  4. Another great gone sigh. I really love this song
  5. F yeaaah plus a billion ! I raise you
  6. The Detroit Redwings release Mathias Brome as he has signed with HC Davos in the Swiss League https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2021/05/mathias-brome-signs-in-switzerland.html
  7. Brother how do you think I found out about the greatest religion/sport in the world. Spent many seasons in your country,a family I know own big white and used to own Silverstar until a couple of years ago. The quality of pow in the interior of BC is sick. Also skied Fernie,a season in whitewater and of course spent time at whistler where I have quite a few friends. The pinnacle was riding La Grave in France,a cable car takes you to the top of an incredibly intimidating mountain and you are on your own. Doug Coombs died there.
  8. It's not just illicit drugs. I have seen quite a few people abuse alcohol to the point it has ruined their lives. It is the third lreading cause of death in the US behind tobacco and poor diet.
  9. There is nothing like the quietness when you are out in the mountains. Here in Aus when you get up early on a sunny day, start cutting in a bootpack on a steep chute or zig zag up a milder incline on skis and the Icecicles on the snowgum leaves melt off and "tinkle" to the ground.
  10. From the point of view of a person that abused drugs,I agree with you that Is a better term than addiction,I agree with what some of what you state. I can also state that I have witnessed teens that were good kids, from loving families, involved in sport then tried a drug, ice, and it totally screwed their lives. Ice had a total stranglehold on their lives and for some of them it still does. Their families, some of them my friends have given them plenty of love and support. Some have recovered some have not. I have had people I know had to take out intervention orders on their kids, the people they love most, because they harass, them beat them up when they will not give them money to fuel their habit. I admire your compassionate nature however i can state with total certainty that drugs can have stranglehold on a person's life and I have witnessed this first hand.
  11. I like to hike to get to where there is some challenging skiing. We used to use alpine trekkers now they have ironed out the problems with alpine bindings that can also be used for touring I got me a pair of S-Lab Shift Tour ski bindings. With a Din of 6-13 though I always set my bindings on 11 and one should never set their bindings at the top of their Din levels, they are a sick binding.
  12. What sort are they ? One of my friends is the Salamon Rep. He got me a pair of Q-Lab skis a few years back. From the race department however they are a free ski. 138-104-127. With a rocker both ways it enables you to put 4 inches of ski underfoot on edge easily. Nice and stiff,by far the best ski's I have ever ridden.
  13. When in the history of our species have we all come together. We can't even do it on this forum. Don't get me wrong I admire your sentiment however humans will be humans.... unfortunately.

  15. I wonder if people will listen to the video and hear the real life speech by GW Bush.
  16. For any parents out there or uncles and Aunties, Grandparents. https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/science-backed-tips-play-time-with-kids/
  17. I can't post the link it's a quote from the book however that is what Diana states. I have read other stats that state anywhere from one person in 500- 1000 people are born and the doctor cannot tell what sex they are. Extrapolate that to over seven billion people and that is millions of people.
  18. I am an Aspy. I didn't realise it till later in my life. There are so many things we do not understand about ourselves starting with the "thing that runs the show" our minds.
  19. Maybe because it was in North America however I have never felt threatened by terrorists or terror groups here in Melbourne. Even flying over to your country and Europe I never felt threatened. I remember that aircraft hi- jackings spiked in the 70's and my family and I flew to England in 1975 right in the middle of it. My father taught me early in my life that the only thing to fear is fear itself. This is one of the reasons I have always confronted my fears, also the adrenaline rush after doing so is addictive. I had a t-shirt printed with one of my favourite quotes a few years ago All you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear.
