  1. Very well could be. I’m totally fine with re-signing Pearson at a reasonable price. If they are talking then there’s more to it then any of us know. People sweating about the big contracts for “aging players” is funny though. Those days are done
  2. We’ll see what happens. We also didn’t see a Demko extension coming this early. Different scenario I know but I can imagine JB already has a pretty good idea of the Petey and Hughes numbers. Maybe we see another announcement before season end
  3. You shouldn’t be “afraid” to lose him and talking to an agent about an extension is very far away from being shortsighted. The opposite actually.
  4. 100% told the guys at work today. Couple days everything will be shutdown again
  5. I agree and I don’t expect him to sign for more then that. It’s gonna be somewhere in the 2.8 - 3 mill range. Even one of the bigger free agents Toffoli signed for less then he made before. Flat cap. Everything has changed at least for the next year or so
  6. Which GM wants to trade assets for a player with an ankle injury?
  7. He was better last season then any year he played on LA. I’m just going to disagree. We’ll see what happens. We do need a 3C for sure. But definitely not against the idea of re-signing Pearson for a couple years
  8. We do need a third line center but Pearson better days are not behind him. He’s 28 years old, not 30 something. He’s inconsistent in the goal department but he does everything else well even when he’s not scoring. He’s not a slouch in the truculence department either. He’s a fairly gritty player
  9. For the forward group I got Boeser, Horvat, Pettersson, Miller, Motte, Lind, and Gaudette. If your not a Gaudette believer then Macewen https://www.capfriendly.com/expansion-draft/seattle
  10. I didn’t even have JV on my protection list and without Pearson lol
  11. As long as the contract makes sense I’m all for it. Like the player and can play up and down the lineup. Cant let everyone go. We’ll have nothing left. Depth is a real thing that we need
  12. Lol come on over Podz. it’s time you were treated properly.
  13. Best chance they have is actually the 5 games they had left against the Oilers. That’s 10 points they could gain on them. Like I said I’m keeping covid out of it. Just talking numbers and it’s fun to cheer when they are playing until they say we are out of it anyway
  14. I can’t tell your serious or not. It’s a very very slim chance but I see nothing wrong with cheering for your team to the bitter end. I don’t think anyone should be scrutinized for that. Keeping the covid stuff out of it cause no one knows for sure how the coming week or 2 is going to play out
  15. They just are not a great team. They are about the same as the Canucks. The difference is the Canucks have a brighter future. If the Flames can’t put it together they’ll be looking at a rebuild imo . And the coach does not fit the players. I don’t think guys like Johnny cry baby and Lindholm are Sutter type players. They either need to move some guys or find another coach. It was a knee jerk reaction doing a coaching change during this type of season especially when options are very limited
  16. Almost feel bad for Marky but those feelings are fading now. Last year could end up being his best year of his career. Way to early I know but how many players have cashed in on Free Agency and never lived up to their contracts. I think I may know another Swede with the same deal
  17. At least the Flames are really good. Good thing they spent all that money in the off-season and fired their coach only to get worse
  18. I think that’s a given. If he’s exposed guess who Seattle is taking. Lind is going to be an important middle six guy for us. Could be our 3rd line center we are gonna need as early as next year
  19. I should have been in a hospital but wasn’t I stayed in a hotel for 3 days. I don’t want to go into complete details as it would be against forum guidelines but I’ll always remember it. Other then other activities I’d prefer not to mention it was the closest to death I’ve ever felt. They other time I was able to get into the hospital and they treated me like crap like I had a cold or something. I did get IV which I was great full for but I was in tears couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve probably had the flu a dozen times or so but nothing like these 2 events
  20. Yeah I’m not talking about hospitals etc. Pretty sure the Canucks have the proper care. That’s why it’s so serious is the amount of people it effects. Not talking about the same thing here Im talking about “it effects young people now” like I said, Sickest I’ve ever been was when I was in my early 20’s twice. Long before the pandemic
  21. Nobody said that. I’m referencing what he’s saying. “For young people to get this sick”Sickest I’ve ever been was like I said early 20’s.. of course people are worried and of course a parent even more so. I was 3-5 years removed from my parents at the time and all I wanted was my parents to help comfort me. Kinda funny now that I think of it but I was that sick. I can definitely relate. Just not sure about the young people part of it cause young people get sick too, pre covid whatever. People get fricken sick man. Im cautious of what’s happening but I won’t jump on the fear wagon. Wish them a healthy recovery. They are going to make it
