Canucks have more NTC and NMC than any other NHL team
Devron replied to steviewonder20's topic in Canucks Talk
Also 3 seasons of 70 plus points on his resume on a team he was actually a goto guy Dallas. Very disappointing signing. That whole free agency year was. People forget the other Loui Erikssons’ teams got shafted on that year as well. Looking forward to less Free Agency and more Young Canucks coming in. Saw a quote somewhere Benning won’t be looking into Free Agency as much going forward. Filling the depth with the Kole Linds and Podkolzins -

Have you actually looked into the details of the NTC, they are all modified. -
I don’t need to re-think nothing. I hate the Flames and always will. I love the Canucks and always will. They literally play the Flames and Vintage was referencing how he hopes Johnny Awesome-O plays like he played in his 499th game. You know a joke that references Sutters post game interview. You like jokes don’t you Imm?

Is that fact I thought KHL players couldn’t sign and play regular season or is that just Tryamkin. Anyone know, I need to know for sure lol Kaprizov couldn’t play last year if I remember correctly

Which lead me to believe JB was sticking them with LE or potentially retained salary. I think that’s why names like Demko came up. At the end of the I’m happy with Schmidt. Much less risk and I don’t think you get much more outta OEL to be honest. Schmidt has steadily improved and become more comfortable I think -

It is just like that. To say we should have signed this guy or that guy? Each player has its own needs and wants. Some contracts in the States = what we sign players for just based on taxes. Maybe some players want nothing to do with Vancouver. No offence just a question -

I’ve heard enough about the HF boards through CDC that I’ll never check it out. At least here is about 50/50 on what you’re gonna get. I ain’t interested in looking at complete crap -

Also nobody knows if a contract was going back to Arizona. Hard to judge something that never happened -

A lot of them are modified with only 5 team no trade lists. Also none of them affect the expansion draft. But I guess when you’re searching for stuff to complain about one could make a case for about anything if they wanted to -
(Rumour) Virtanen on the trade block

I’m gonna go as far to say JB will be the GM at minimum another 2 years while he’s still on contact. I’m 99 % certain -

[Speculation] Canucks Trade Tiers

Yeah I wouldn’t even buy him out if it’s avoidable. 1 More Year! -

I agree with the 100% and sounds like a dude that wants to stay. As far as a buyout on LE is concerned I’m not sure that will happen but regardless I’m stoked we are nearing the end. That contract has been pain. Without that one I’d argue there would be less Benning haters. That would have been enough to play with and do a few things then last couple years. Id put out a toast to the end the LE era -
Seven years without a clear plan from Canucks brass.

Agree on pretty much everything here. I do think it was good to have what we had last summer that was a lot of fun. It’s a tough line of keeping fans hopeful/happy and actually building a team. I only wish they started more of a rebuild while the Sedins were here but I totally get what they tried to do there. Tried to build a team with nothing in hopes for one last chance for those guys. That was tough but those last few games with the Sedins was as memorable as any playoffs for me. -

You shouldn’t be disappointed about LE being on the “not moving” category. We’ve endured 5 years. No way would I shed assets to move him now. I’ll take the one more year of LE’s cap hit -

I think we are going to see a younger team moving forward which means the core is going to really have to grab the bull by the horns. There’s going to be more of our second wave of prospects filling in the team then actual free agents or trades imo
