Devron replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Same, especially cause that would mean we would be in. Calgary and Montreal to miss -

He’s super inconsistent so maybe he’ll pop in 10 for us down the stretch LOl -
(Rumour) Virtanen on the trade block

Curious to see if Eddie has a change of heart this deadline and if they Canucks are gonna be interested in even retaining him. We got some lefty’s knocking on the door -
Haven’t read through all the pages so hope this hasn’t been post yet. Pretty standard Death Metal but I just love these guys. They look like some regular dudes that just got off a construction job shift and love to head bang after work haha

how do you post the YouTube videos like that. I have a beauty

what did we gain by not re-signing any of Markstrom/Tanev/Toffoli?
Devron replied to grouse747's topic in Canucks Talk
I’ve never seen that from Benning. If anything he’s too honest for his own good -
This whole time I’ve been missing out on the Punk and Metal threads damn. Haven’t looked in White Noise for years. I knew there was a “What are you Listening to” Thread but I knew that would be boring. This is where I find out who my real Hommies are at!

What do you think of this album? Little different hey. I quite enjoy Piistol Star. Underrated band

Chris Tanev also stated he’d re sign for 1 year to stay a Canuck if he had to. To offer the guy 2 years 4 million per seems reasonable considering last year was his first healthy season. Funny the tables turn from the narrative of JB signing long term deals to aging players. Last year he does the opposite and let’s them go -

Ah yes I do remember that! Benning said that. I believe mid next day he signed with Calgary -
I was one of those guys hyped about him haha. I actually really liked him on Dallas the most. Problem is it didn’t even work with the Sedins even though it was a known fit internationally. Sedins were still 50-60 point guys and LE could hardly muster 25 points. Seemed to shy from dirty areas since he became a Canuck. I don’t believe the coaching was an issue. If anything he had more leash then what was fair to other players based on his contract. He simply immediately declined, lost ALL confidence, packed it in or all of the above
-
I’ve never seen someone lose their offensive touch faster the LE did. Has nothing to do with coaching. He had plenty of opportunity to show us what he’s got. Literally played in the top 6 his first 2 years here. Accomplished nothing. His time in Vancouver had just been flat out unacceptable

Man I can handle complaints but the Myers stuff I can’t wrap my head around. It’s literally anti Benning people trying to add to their lists of bad things to say. He’s got some goofs, some home runs and some that are just plain bad luck. Myers isn’t really any of those, he just is. He’s a good defencemen on the side of ice we desperately need. He provides some push back, leadership some offence and plays hard minutes.. Literally if he was on another team Canucks fans would want him. Guaranteed
-
I 100% blame Loui Eriksson. Always will. A guy that use to be a really good hockey player both sides of the ice. Another example of JB maybe spending a million too much and a year too long. But we got nothing other then “well he’s good defensively” since day 1. That’s 100% on Loui Eriksson. 30 freaking goals, seasons with 70 points! Yeah that’s all on LE
-
Honestly not much for advanced stats. Especially with the way our team is coached defensively. It’s effective at times but the collapse style and Myers second in team minutes doesn’t really tell the story imo. He’s a fine defencemen and one that our team really hurts when he’s outta of the line up. For those reasons hes slightly overpaid but nothing like it’s made out to be by some. It’s one of those things if he was on another team people would be saying. “We could use a guy like Myers”
-
Loui is done. He’s lost 12 steps. Couple years ago I’d agree with you. Loui alone is the reason why we couldn’t afford a guy like Toffoli after covid squashed the cap

Seven years without a clear plan from Canucks brass.
Devron replied to appleboy's topic in Canucks Talk
It’s true he ain’t going anywhere for 2 years minimum. So enjoy guys, I know I am. And if you ain’t have having fun wish you luck the next 2 years
