Maybe I’m on the wrong side of the census here but I’ve liked Myers games. Most of his penalties have been pretty weak or from just being too tall

He’s let in 2 soft goals. First on Fiala in game 1 and tonight on Kunin. Nobody would be saying the other 2 goals were soft if Petey sniped them.. Should a goalie not let in a soft goal,. In a perfect world yes It shouldn’t happen. But Marky also made some key saves that should have been goals. You take the good with the bad. It’s not about letting in a soft goal it’s about the performance over 60 minutes. He’s let in 5 goals total in 2 games. It’s not outstanding but solid and enough to win

Really happy with the compete tonight. Team brought it. Petey handling himself like a man. Love how he’s grown in that regard. Im sure there’s been discussion about tightening it up at the end but I thought the did a great job. Fiala is just lethal. Canucks did a great job on him tonight and he still sniped 2. And finally super happy to Boeser score. He’s looked great and this will be a big boost to his confidence

I’ve waited 5 years for playoff hockey. JV needs to play and I don’t care how they do it. Just score some goals and make the series exciting. Enjoyed the intensity of game 1 but that was all. Stalock is a diver and I want to see him lit up ASAP lol. Sure we fell into Minnies game plan. But we looked nervous with the puck. Let’s get er together for game 2

Our problem at Center beyond Pettersson and Horvat

Bo Horvat is not a third line center Are we trying to create some sort of super team. It will never work in the cap world -
No he wasn’t past his prime and he’d probably be fairly effective still. Injuries ruined that. This year was the first year where this was very noticeable. He had a pretty good second year as a Canuck. He was in many ways the perfect 3rd line centre but then injury city. I can’t see him sticking around much longer after his contract expires personally. I think management is hoping he can regain his game. Hard not to when your paying the guy 4.5 or whatever it is. I think Loui is the better player now

I wonder how Bergeron wins the Selke every year yet he’s Bostons first line centre. I think you’re over thinking things just a bit here -
For sure. There needs to be hope when time’s are tough and Benning did what he could to get as competitive as possible. I don’t think people would be complaining “As Much” if he didn’t have all those injuries as I’m sure he’d be fairly effective cause he was in the prime of his career. It’s tough cap wise etc. But we are a 2 years away from the stop gap to be cleared up. 1 for Sutts and 2 for Loui
