  1. Maybe I’m on the wrong side of the census here but I’ve liked Myers games. Most of his penalties have been pretty weak or from just being too tall
  2. That’s what’s great about hockey. He’s not on our team so I enjoy watching us get under his skin
  3. I think he’s kind of a punk. Get that vibe from the post game interviews.
  4. Markstrom! Who said he should sit again lol! Also Sutter was Sutter that we traded for. Awesome game
  5. It’s in the blood of a hockey player to want to be playing hockey as soon as possible. Dude just loves hockey obviously so it’s unfortunate
  6. He’s let in 2 soft goals. First on Fiala in game 1 and tonight on Kunin. Nobody would be saying the other 2 goals were soft if Petey sniped them.. Should a goalie not let in a soft goal,. In a perfect world yes It shouldn’t happen. But Marky also made some key saves that should have been goals. You take the good with the bad. It’s not about letting in a soft goal it’s about the performance over 60 minutes. He’s let in 5 goals total in 2 games. It’s not outstanding but solid and enough to win
  7. My bet is Marky. But it will be interesting to see for sure. It’s not your typical playoffs where you always get a day off between games. There’s been a few teams now that have played their second goalie. Most interestingly today was Carolina
  8. Canucks fans turning on their goaltender again. Surprise surprise. Marky was solid tonight. Wasn’t unreal marky but solid. Figure it out
  9. Really happy with the compete tonight. Team brought it. Petey handling himself like a man. Love how he’s grown in that regard. Im sure there’s been discussion about tightening it up at the end but I thought the did a great job. Fiala is just lethal. Canucks did a great job on him tonight and he still sniped 2. And finally super happy to Boeser score. He’s looked great and this will be a big boost to his confidence
  10. I see the comment section hasn’t changed. Wrong captain. Wrong coach... go Canucks go!
  11. I’ve waited 5 years for playoff hockey. JV needs to play and I don’t care how they do it. Just score some goals and make the series exciting. Enjoyed the intensity of game 1 but that was all. Stalock is a diver and I want to see him lit up ASAP lol. Sure we fell into Minnies game plan. But we looked nervous with the puck. Let’s get er together for game 2
  12. I like your passion friend. You make fair points. Groins are pretty tricky injuries. Pulled mine a few times playing goal. Never been the same since. I’d personally just like to see JV play instead as most of us do. I’m just stating the facts. It’s not always black and white from a fans perspective
  13. I doubt it’s because he’s “lazy” he’s had how many serious groin injuries? Buyouts suck. I’d rather see them pay Sutter for one more year then have a smaller cap hit but have it spread over 2 years
  14. I would agree with you 100% if this were 1-2 years ago. Sutter has been a great player. Injuries caught up to him badly. I’ve noticed he’s hasn’t been as good on faceoffs either.
  15. Bo Horvat is not a third line center Are we trying to create some sort of super team. It will never work in the cap world
  16. No he wasn’t past his prime and he’d probably be fairly effective still. Injuries ruined that. This year was the first year where this was very noticeable. He had a pretty good second year as a Canuck. He was in many ways the perfect 3rd line centre but then injury city. I can’t see him sticking around much longer after his contract expires personally. I think management is hoping he can regain his game. Hard not to when your paying the guy 4.5 or whatever it is. I think Loui is the better player now
  17. I wonder how Bergeron wins the Selke every year yet he’s Bostons first line centre. I think you’re over thinking things just a bit here
  18. Tough to say. He played like 5 or 6 full seasons before coming to Van. I don’t see where he was injured before Van. Then of course our luck he only played 20 games in his first Canucks season
  19. For sure. There needs to be hope when time’s are tough and Benning did what he could to get as competitive as possible. I don’t think people would be complaining “As Much” if he didn’t have all those injuries as I’m sure he’d be fairly effective cause he was in the prime of his career. It’s tough cap wise etc. But we are a 2 years away from the stop gap to be cleared up. 1 for Sutts and 2 for Loui
  20. He was a foundational piece when they traded and signed for him. He’s had terrible injuries and it’s ruining his career. I don’t think foundational and Sutter have been made in the same sentence for 2 or 3 years
