    Hughes is the type of person that would thrive in that role imo. Wouldn’t way him down but would actually make him better. I just want Petey to play. He already plays like a captain on the ice. Let’s keep it that way. Im neutral on Miller. I think the emotional stuff bugs more the fans then the actual players

    Skilled teams make the playoffs. The leafs do every year. We just can’t build a Stanley cup winner in one year. It’s not realistic. It takes a lot to consistently make the playoffs too. It’s about building over the next five years. I know Allvin wants to get bigger, it just takes time

    Could be if he keeps developing. I think Aman will be a true no.3 Center in a couple years

    For me it’s about getting to the playoffs. Creating a winning culture. Find size as we go. One step at a time. I can’t remember a team finally making the playoffs and winning it all. Once you’re good enough to make the playoffs you keep tweaking so you become good in the playoffs.

    One more note. Tryamkin was never a disappointment imo. He was just the most over rated player ever on these forums

    I just missed that era. Started watching hockey the 2000-2001 season. Naslund was captain and Cloutier was my favourite. Great times. Just snuck into the playoffs

    I picked LE then I forgot about JV. So much talent but dumber than a stick. Speed, shot, and hitting were all like off the charts but he didn’t know how or when to use those things

    Yeah but somehow it was still awesome that he played for the Canucks. I thought anyway. Although he just wanted to collect one more pay check I think
