Bo and Brock look burnt out. If I had to pick a guy off this roster to be Captain it'd be Schenn. Without hesitation. -

+1 Exactly what's meant when the words "don't get too high or too low" get spoken. That's easier to say when things are going well, but it's true in any case. -

There you go. This team is so bad it has warped my sense of time and space. -

Not nitpicking so much as pointing out those "quirks" that some players have that get laughed off as petty and/or insignificant, can sometimes be a problem when things get tough. Is that the issue with Miller? Time will tell. He needs to calm the F down. Strung way too tight right now, and maybe most guys are, but with him in particular he does not play well when his head's going in 5 different directions at once. Hence my comment on Pavelski. He's the exact opposite of what I'm trying to describe - and no coincidence that he's still very much a great player at 38. I will end my retort (I'm not mad but you'll see) with a ridiculous addendum: Miller for Pavelski ? Retortorella ? -

Did you see the interview with Joe Pavelski last night?. That's how a winner talks. That guy is an outstanding hockey player and just "gets it". Conversely, a Miller interview is a cliche blender on high speed to the point where some things he says don't even make sense. Is medication the answer? The guy needs to CALM DOWN more than anything else. He comes off like a real spazz, and that's almost never good. -

Fans are entitled because they're heavily invested. Monetarily and emotionally. It sends a message alright. One the front office should heed. -

Rules..... Like when we signed Luongo to a totally legal and legitimate contract, then had to pay a recapture penalty for years after he was retired? -

This team is playing like they hate being on the ice together. Schenn and Miller barking at each other at the end of the game, while remaining players on the Sabres bench watch in disbelief, is evidence of that. Imagine how much we missed because we're relying on TV cameras. It was very likely a lot worse at ice level. We just caught the obvious bickering at the end of the game. -

Come tomorrow, there will be nothing in your way, so the path to the couch is direct and free of obstacles. Hell, I bet you're moving stuff around right now. -

And maybe Rutherford decided to agree, just to teach Frankie a lesson. -

How to win our home opener: 1. don't take any penalties 2. don't draw any penalties. Simple. Right? -

Well, they're putting a huge beer garden outside the rink for tomorrow. Having 20,000 drunk ass fans in the building is either going to be awesome or a disaster -

Not if he's seen enough and wants to leave. He can hold out and force a trade. This team just bleeds through ELC's like they're 10 years long and not 3. It feels like yesterday Willy Desjardins told Bo in the dressing room "welcome to the NHL!".... but that was almost TEN years ago. -

Boeser seems to have no chemistry with anyone on this team. The last guy he really "clicked" with was Thomas Vanek. -

I'm right there with you. The problem arises when you get too far behind too early, and we only have to look at last year.... It's easy to say "only a few more wins and we're right back in it!" .... but those points are as hard to get now as they will be later because while you think you're gaining ground while winning a few games - the teams you're trying to catch have to simultaneously be losing as much as you're winning. It's not a disaster, yet. they have to turn this around pretty quickly though or it will be. -

The only thing standing between Peety and super-stardom, seems to be his inefficiency on the dot. Where's Manny Malhotra when you need him? -

Dumba is a solid player. I'm not a fan of bringing in "activist" types though. This room is messed up enough without bringing in even more outside noise.
