Good day,
I'm part of a discord run Dynasty League that's looking for ONE replacement GM. Vacancies are due to real life commitments making the GMs no longer able to participate, the GM demographic is primarily people out of school and working. The league is primarily run via Discord, Google Sheets/Docs, and pickuphockey. It's a 31 team league with a your "typical" fantasy league rules/salary cap restrictions. As the league was created the year before the SEA expansion, we hope to do an expansion in the future once things stabilize.
Unique features of the league
- no expectations to be very active, most GMs have this as their 2nd league/burner league to pop in time to time
- max contract for the league is 6 years, 9.500M to prevent too many stinky contracts
- IRL clauses were NOT inherited when league formed, existing clauses were signed by GMs (so there's not a lot of trade restriction)
- scoring format includes G/A/SHP/PIM/Hits/SB/SOWG
- league is divided info East/West conference, playoffs are top 6 teams from each conf + remaining top 4 teams with top half teams advancing each round
Available team highlights (top 3 scores and notable others)- Team A includes Elias Pettersson, Adam Fox, Trevor Zegras, Robert Thomas, Lucas Raymond
- Team B includes Jack Hughes, Zach Hyman, Alex Debrincat, Jesper Bratt, Olen Zellweger- Team C includes Dylan Cozens, Pavel Buchnevich, Charlie MacAvoy, Jake Oettinger, Thatcher Demko

To be fair, I acquired Georgiev in the off-season when he was expected to split the crease. I don't think anyone was confident he was going to be the main starter.
I tried exploring the market when he started getting more starts, no market. I tried again when Nail messaged me that one of them might be requesting a trade soon given how they're both starters, but again there were no takers/no market. I realize I'll need to move one of them this off-season but mid-season goalie trades are almost impossible in this league.

One problem with our Excel sheets is when you put a guy on IR, his entire cap hit goes on IR. The retention stays subtracted from the cap no matter what (so the $2M retained was already part of your available cap calculation). So you need to make room for the full $5.75M.
It’s not a big problem, just something to be aware of when you have retained guys on IR.
Thanks for the clarification, that’s a yikes/something I wasn’t aware of.
