Jake is a great team player.. Never see him sulking in OT, or when he gets benched in the 3rd etc. Always seems to have a smile no matter what. If this kid has turned the corner, its friggen huge for the team.

Green is hard on him but I really think some players need the tough love approach. He earns every bit of rope grenner has been giving him. he was doing what everyone on here has asked him to do, Hit play good D and use his speed to create chances. great to see.

Jake was outstanding imo. We all hoped this would be his breakout year, looks like it may just be.

Shorty did but was more of a guess. The luck of this team yikes.

Missing 5 of our top 9 sucks. We lost most of our heavy guys and our 4th line basically. not to mention our best pk guys.

60% of our top 9 now injured. All that depth we had gone. Hopefully Sutter is just being cautious.

labels can be a little tricky. The way he has played this season hes def better then at least half of the other teams 3rd liner centres imo. But i admit ive always liked his game when hes been healthy for us, so maybe im a little partial.

Leivo I give credit for at least getting into good positions for scoring chances, needs to finish some tho that's for sure.

Sutter has been far from a plug whenever hes been healthy. Liking the lines so far, that was a really good period. Sucks that were now down 5 regs in the lineup, especially since 3 of them are some of best penalty killers and all are good 2way players who add some grit and are hard to play against.

He racked up a lot of primary assists with and without Hughes. He is small so he may fall to us. I really hope he does. He or Zegras have just as much talent as Hughes. Hell Turcotte as well. The USNDTP is one hell of a program When JH was gone I believe Zegras actually had a higher PPG then when JH was there, even tho they were linemates. Caufield, as well I believe. These kids are friggen stars. My question is if a player is committed to the NCAA is he allowed to turn pro instead? Cole and Zegras if we somehow land one of them, I would kill to see them with Petey ASAP. Like Jack they don't need to play a year in college they are already good enough to at least start in the AHL, IMO.

From what I have seen and his stat line he seems to get a lot of Primary assists. A little bit off topic but I have to say Hockey Canada is falling way behind when it comes to giving kids the chance to develop and show that they are going to be able to make the jump into the NHL. I think this is true especially with D. I have watched a lot of Bowen play. He is a talent no doubt. Are the Giants not eliminated? Why are the kids from the under 18,s who are top prospects not getting chances like kids from every other country to play at the worlds? Why is there not more stock put in tournaments for Canadian kids? Heck stop the playoffs for a week and send over the best of what we have, so we can really see what they have before they get drafted, not after when they play in the under 20,s The way the USA is showcasing there players is miles ahead of us. Bowen may end up being worthy of 3rd overall. He may also just be another Canadian kid who was really really good in JR Couph DP Guddy lol. and never translates his game. JH Cole Turcotte Zegras Boldy Kakko, even Soderstrom., Have played against adults most of the year. it is still a crapshoot but a little less risk. Look at how JB has been drafting for the most part. Seems to be working. A good example for Canada this year in the under 18,s Krebs and Newhook for me showed they absolutely are going to be gamers. Cozens dropped a lot in a lot of scouts opinions. I just think we need to see our 17-year-olds play against the best 17-year-olds in the world more. Maybe have a few more in the worlds like the USA and other countries do? Or maybe have the under 18 after the memorial cup? I think a lot of Canadian Kids will do what Makar and Newhook did and stay in JR A and go to college in the states. OJ is such a cerebral high IQ d man that if he is playing with inferior talent it tends to make him look bad sometimes because the guys around him can't anticipate his play. He has also suffered very serious injuries delaying him by a year maybe 2. To say Chych is better is laughable. He had top minutes and had like 16 points and was not very good in his own end. Lets be honest his rookie year was more of the fact he had insane sheltered minutes on a team that is just friggen loaded Why not look at the progress he made under Salo and the fact even now button would still piock him as the 1st D. Mac is good but has a lot of faults not to mention he has never played more than 52 games and suffers heart disease and is one or 2c concussions from maybe never playing again. I will go out on a limb and say Jake will not be a 4th line player. Podz will never be a Canuck and Brock and Petey will not be split up. Also what about Lind? Oh, and Madden will be a top 6 within 2 years IMHO Why do people right off Baer? Yes, he has had health issues, but when he plays all he does is put up points and has improved each year. Plus we severely lack playmakers. Which is why I'm on team Krebs, who I think could possibly jump in this year with Brock and Petey. I also thin Trams a dick and Rathbone will take his job if he even comes back to us. I say he re-ups in Russia. He just seems like the type. Cheers
