Yes everything was lifted province wide. Only restrictions are short term rentals less than 30 days, basically Airbnb, and 55+ housing. If a strata corporation does not have its bylaws updated then you can just ignore those bylaws as they are no longer valid under the law and will be successfully challenged in any lawsuit. -

I don't know if they are 100% healthy or not, which is why I said even if they were a bit banged up they still want to play. The highlighted statement doesn't make alot of sense. You are basically saying that Petey and Hughes should play less minutes or even sit out for the betterment of the team, i.e. tank hard for Bedard, and if they don't agree to that then they are somehow bad people and bad teammates. Who said they are playing just to pad their stats? You think Petey is playing hockey right now just so he can hit 100 points? Same with Hughes, to try and break some records and get that next big contract? You don't think they are professional athletes who are programmed to win and play their best each and every game no matter what? Wow, just wow. I have no more words really. It's better just to end this debate. It's not helpful anymore to be honest with you. -

In reading that article, it says that Leonard was coming off a major injury the previous season and had only played 9 games. So, the Raptors were "load managing" him by trying to get him back into shape and limiting his starts until he was fully healthy. Also, according to the article, you actually need league permission to "loan manage" a player and need to provide medical documentation to the league: In order to get permission to sit Leonard — or anyone else for that matter — for load management reasons, Toronto must first provide medical documentation to the league. It should also be noted that not all requests are necessarily granted. “Teams must contact the League Office when they are considering sitting a player in circumstances that might violate the Player Resting Policy,” the league said in an email to Sportsnet. “In limited circumstances, load management may provide a legitimate basis for a team not to play a player without violating the Player Resting Policy including, for example, a player who plays in most games but is restricted from playing in back-to-back games or in other unusual circumstances for legitimate medical reasons that have been documented and shared with the League Office. That has nothing to do with Petey, Kuzy and Hughes anyways who are 100% healthy. And even if they were a bit banged up, players want to play. If you force them to sit out that will piss them off and create more problems than it solves. Pissing Petey off to the point where he wants out kinda undermines the whole idea of tanking and getting Bedard. Plus, it creates a big problem in the dressing room. All for a shot at Bedard. What happens if you don't get Bedard? And then you lose Petey too? This scenario can backfire big time on this team. At the end of the day, you just have to hope that our AHL defence will not hold up. Demko will be rusty and not at his best, and we will lose more games than we win. -

Loved his movies. He was a way better actor than a goalie to be totally honest with you... -

So please explain to me how you sit out Petey, Kuzy and Hughes right now? I am interested in how this can be done, as I personally cannot figure out a way to do it without causing a big problem and with the players actually agreeing to it. Kuzmenko was sat out because he wasn't playing well defensively. He is doing better now, so you can't use that excuse anymore. I think we have a difference of opinion on what load management means. You are inferring it means sitting the player out. That's why I am asking how you would actually do this. To me load management is restricting the player's minutes in the game. I can see that one working to a certain degree. You can play Petey 17-18 minutes instead of 23-24 minutes. However, you can't play him 13-14 minutes. Petey would never agree to that and you will piss him off... -

Isn't that what they are currently doing with Miller? He's out week to week with a mysterious injury. Who else are we supposed to do that with? Petey, Kuzy and Hughes? Do you think they would agree to sit out and pretend they are injured when they are not? Those are the only 3 players left that can be sat out that would actually make a difference between winning and losing a game. You aren't really thinking this out very well to be totally honest with you... -

Myers played over 25 minutes last night. That's only around 1 minute less than Hughes. They play opposite sides so you can't replace one with the other. Burroughs played almost 18 minutes. Joshua played over 18 minutes. He actually played more than Beau and only 40 seconds less than Kuzmenko. Trade picks for players to fill the bottom six. We already have AHL players playing in the bottom 6, so not sure how that would help. At the end of the day, BO, Miller, Mikheyev are all out of the lineup. Demko was held out as long as possible to make sure he was fully healthy. The only actual NHL defenceman that was dressed last night was Hughes. We had several AHL forwards in the lineup as well. Demko let in 4 goals and we still won against Dallas who is supposedly one of the best team in the West. You can't blame the players for the win, and you can't really blame management either. At the end of day, we have a team that can win games here and there. It's not going to happen every night but we will win games... -

I highly doubt that Demko will play every game the rest of the way. So, of course Delia is going to start some games. Sure, I can see him not playing much ove the next 2 weeks or so, but after that he is our starter so the team cannot just sit him on the bench if he is fully healthy. Trede related reasons means we are trading him. Are you actually saying we should sit Demko out and declare to the public and all of the fans that he is being traded? Even if the Canucks were stupid enough to do that, that will only work for 3 more days and one more game anyways. After Friday, you will need to come up with new material... -

Collecting wingers and playing an AHL defence is a stealth tank move. They are trying really hard not to ice a good lineup. Problem is Petey, Kuzy and Hughes are too good, and Demko has declared himself 100% healthy so he has to play now. Even Miller has been shut down after apparently playing with an injury all year. Another stealth tank move. Still, I am waiting for someone to answer the question as to how you shut down Demko now that he has declared himself 100% healthy and ready to go. No one will answer that question because they all know the truth. The truth is you can't shut him down, you have to play him, so that ruins the tank and the whole scenario of using Delia and Martin for the rest of the year to properly tank. Even playing our AHL goalie didn't work, as he played better than our NHL backups. -

At the end of the day, we need 2-3 Dmen similar to Cernak, Trouba, Parayko, Slavin, Lindholm, Theodore, etc. We have failed as a franchise to acquire these types of Dmen over the last 52 years. We can draft Connor Bedard, but we will never win a cup until the defence is fixed for good. At the end of the day, adding Cernak, Trouba and Lindholm to our lineup gives us a better chance at winning the cup than adding Bedard. -

Can you answer one simple question. How do you shut Demko down for the rest of the year when he himself declared that he is fully 100% healthy? -

I had a feeling Miller was injured all year. I thought he was out of shape too. But it makes sense now and is the reason we did not see 99 point Miller this year. -

Have you looked at the standings? We are like 11 points behind the 12th place team. We are only 9 points ahead of the last place team. Ottawa is the 10th place team and they are looking at adding at the deadline. So, I highly doubt we finish higher than 9th. Most likely, we will land anywhere between 4-8. There was no way we were ever going to finish in the top 3. Remember, we started the year hoping for a playoff spot, so we were never in the tank bowl until around 2 months ago. By that time, we had collected too many points. If we had started the year like the other tanking teams, we'd probably be in the mix. But realistically, with the players we have there is no way we are bad enough to finish in the bottom 3 in the league. -
(Rumour) 4 teams interested in J.T. Miller
Elias Pettersson replied to combover's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
This is true. So, what do we do? Do we trade him like BO and get another Beau back who will make us even better? No team is going to take on his salary for futures. We need to take a player back. What if that player turns out to be Beau 2.0 and completely kills our tank? -

Yup, totally agree. People are wanting us to lose the games, but I am not sure what exactly the team is supposed to do to ensure those losses. Unless you take Petey, Kuzy, Huggy, Miller and Demko out of the lineup, we will probably be in most of the games and win more than we want to...
