  1. I noticed that too. He has improved his skating. He’s actually one of the best skaters on the team now. He’s also a legit 6’2”. If he can get up to 210-215 pounds I think he can be a top power forward in this league…
  2. I think Vancouver is a wet and humid city and not dries enough for him to succeed…
  3. He would have pounded him with one hand while having his glove on in the other hand…
  4. Kuzy can’t shut the f*ck up. Beau isn’t even paying attention to him anymore…
  5. Abbotsford looks good so far. When did they start using the Canucks jerseys for games?
  6. It's calling busting your chops. Didn't your buddies in major junior bust your chops once in awhile? I know my buddies did... It's over. The fat lady has sung. Keep up the good fight though, I am with you in spirit...
  7. Your holiness Elliotte Friedman said Miller isn't getting traded. Sorry to ruin your day. Keep up the good fight though and make sure you do a great job in carrying this thread to 300+ pages...
  8. Reid Boucher had 56 goals in 2 seasons in the AHL with the Utica Comets. He scored 3 goals with Vancouver and is now in the KHL. Jack Rathbone had 40 points in 39 games with Abby last year. Is he even close to making the NHL? Nobody cares what players do in the AHL. William Lockwood is a fringe NHL player who is injury prone given how he plays. Kravtsov is a top 10 prospect who could be a star in the NHL. These players aren't even in the same stratosphere in terms of talent and potential...
  9. Sure, I get it. But if that was the case then teams would just use the stawns thinking and trade away all of their draft picks. Teams are built primarily using the draft. Ironically, Tanner Jeannot went undrafted, and then was traded away for 5 draft picks plus a former 1st round pick only 3 years after he signed his first contract. Draft picks can also be used as collateral. If Tampa had no picks then they wouldn't have been able to trade for Jeannot in the first place. I get what Tampa did, they feel they are one player away from getting that cup again and Jeannot is the player they coveted. If they win the cup, then it really doesn't matter. But in normal circumstances, it's completely assinine to trade away 5+ picks for one player, and is almost unheard of in sports in genera unless it is for a high impact franchise player.
  10. If it was so easy to find centres who are Selke trophy finalists in the 3rd round then why have the Canucks never been able to do it in over 52 years?
  11. They drafted Brayden Point in the 3rd round in 2014 and then Anthony Cirelli in the 3rd round in 2015. That's less than 15 years for two high impact players...
  12. I'm happy with any deal that would rid of us Myers at this point...
  13. If you take Koch out, then I would take Schenn out of the deal and trade him to the Leafs for their 2024 1st round pick. The Leafs must be sh*tting bricks now that Jeannot is going to terrorize them in the playoffs...
  14. We need to squeeze Carolina for every drop of blood we can. Boston, New Jersey, Toronto and Tampa all made their moves. Unless Carolina makes a move they could be out in the 1st round. Allvin got Kravtsov for almost nothing. I think he also did very well with the Horvat trade. Let's see what else he has up his sleeve...
  15. We could retain 50% of both contracts so they have more room to maneuver this week. Sure, I'd move the 1st to 2024, we already have 2 1st's this year, so then we'd have 2 1st's next year. I'd switch the 2nd then to 2023...
  16. Why? They have the cap space to keep him and would need him to try and win a cup...
  17. So, I'll get this started since there is now some actual concrete evidence from the person who broke the Meier return and not just a thought for some clicks... To Carolina: JT Miller Luke Schenn To Vancouver: Pyotr Kochetkov Scott Morrow 2023 1st round pick 2024 2nd round pick 2024 3rd round pick They can keep Kotkaniemi as they have the cap space to do it. And they can use him for their playoff run. A pure futures trade...
  18. I agree. I think the plan is to terrorize the Jersey and Leafs forwards who are on the small side. Same with Boston. The Eastern Conference contenders don't really have a Jeannot in their lineup. Most likely why they had to severely overpay. I kinda get the logic of the trade now after reviewing it for awhile. It's still a massive overpayment, but I think Tampa was targeting that one guy they felt they needed to take them over the top...
