  1. You are using career stats which is not indicative of their current play. Also, Meier does alot more than just score. He's fast, he's a power forward who hits and goes to the dirty areas, and can play in all situations.
  2. Jeannot is a bigger and better version of Derek Dorsett. He is exactly what we need and are missing up front...
  3. Why do you feel that way? The Canucks have basically given him two weeks off with pay to be with his wife and family. He should be happy about that. If he gets traded at least he was able to get all his stuff together beforehand. Apparently, according to his friend, he has already packed and is ready to go...
  4. I agree. They got a top line winger and didn't need to trade any of their top 3-4 prospects in Nemec, Hughes and Holtz, plus they kept their entire roster together and also added a depth defenceman. They are set up to make a deep run and could be the cup favourites now...
  5. Here is the full details: San Jose Sharks Acquire: Andreas Johnsson Fabian Zetterlund Nikita Okhotiuk Shakir Mukhamadullin 2023 1st round pick (NJD) [Conditional]* 2024 2nd round pick (NJD) [Conditional]** 2024 7th round pick (NJD) *Conditions: If the pick is a top-two selection, New Jersey will instead transfer their own 2024 first-round pick. **Conditions: If NJD make the 2023 Eastern Conference Final (ECF) and Meier plays in 50% of the games, or NJD make the 2024 Eastern Conference Final, the pick becomes NJD's 2024 1st. If 2024 1st is top 10, NJD have the option to instead transfer their 2025 1st. Should NJD transfer their 2023 1st to their 2024 1st (As it is top 2 protected), and they make the conference final in 2024, SJS will receive their 2025 1st.
  6. San Jose Sharks Acquire: Andreas Johnsson Fabian Zetterlund Nikita Okhotiuk Shakir Mukhamadullin 2023 1st round pick (NJD) [Conditional]* 2024 2nd round pick (NJD) [Conditional] 2024 7th round pick (NJD) *Conditions: If the pick is a top-two selection, New Jersey will instead transfer their own 2024 first-round pick.
  7. Sure, I would agree. But from Vancouver’s standpoint the last thing we need is another winger. We just drafted a Swedish winger in the first round last year. I think with Raty worst case is he becomes a good 3C who can play a 200’ game and kill penalties and take important faceoffs. Those players are coveted around the league and hard to acquire. Scoring wingers are a dime a dozen. We already have several on the team and more on the way.
  8. Is Holtz that big? I’ll take your word for it. I believe he’s listed at 6’0” and doesn’t really play a physical game. In any event, we need centres not wingers. And defencemen. We have no need for a Holtz on our lineup.
  9. Holtz is a small, slow skating winger who isn't much of 200' player. Raty is a big bodied centre who plays a good 200' game. Raty is more of what we need. We have similar players to Holtz already plus Lekkerimaki in the wings...
  10. Arturs Silovs new flying skate mask has Dave Babych, Gino Odjick, Pavel Bure and Alexander Mogilny on it...
  11. There is no penalty to healthy scratch a player and sit him in the press box. We did it with Kuzmenko this year. We could have sat him out the whole year if we wanted to. The only difference is they are saying it is for trade related reasons. They don't really need to say that, I guess the GM's just made that part up this year...
  12. So my prediction is: To New Jersey: Timo Meier (50% retention) Scott Harrington To San Jose: Fabian Zetterlund Kevin Bahl 2023 1st round pick 2024 2nd round pick Oh wait, I forgot about the cap. San Jose has to retain 50% of Meier. Not sure if that is enough to work cap wise though...
