  1. He's alot smaller than Nichuskin. I would say he is a bigger version of Kuzmenko. If Tocchet can get Kravtsov to play the 200' game like he is getting Kuzmenko to do plus not take away his scoring prowess, then he may become a player. He could also be a bust, but I think the risk is worth taking considering we gave up only a 7th round pick and a player on an expiring contract who will be a UFA...
  2. Benning traded over 14 draft picks. Kinda hard to build a prospect pool when you are trading away on average 2 picks per year. Blaming Gillis on Benning's failures is really a massive reach considering Benning was given lots of rope and almost 8 years and multiple coaches to fix this mess...
  3. I never said he wasn't. But continue posting trade proposals in a rumour thread so you can keep this thread alive for another 4 months... When all you have is hope...
  4. I think people are missing the fact that Lockwood qualifies as a Group 6 UFA as of July 1 ( 25 years old, played at least 3 seasons of pro hockey and has played less than 80 NHL games). So he can sign with whatever team he wants to in the summer. He can even come back to Vancouver. So, the Rangers gave up on Kravtsov for basically a 7th round pick in almost the next decade...
  5. AK96 will be here to mentor him. Kuzy wasn't much of a defensive player or very physical. He's changed his game since Tocchet took over and is still scoring goals. I'd out those two guys on a line together with Petey and see what happens. Kuzmenko Pettersson Kravtsov
  6. This. A 2nd for Baertschi ended up being Rasmus Andersson. I'm pretty sure Will Lockwood and a 7th round pick won't turn out to be a top 2 RHD...
  7. Friedman just posted a trade rumour. I suggest you go into that thread for some actual evidence...
  8. Friedman just posted a trade rumour, it wasn't a thought. So there you go....
  9. If you don't know the difference between a thought and an actual rumour with a source or some evidence to back it up, then I can't really help you...
  10. I never said Friedman wasn't credible. What I said was his "thoughts" about Miller are not rumours, they are just thoughts, like making up a trade proposal. If he actually had a rumour on a Miller trade, I would be all ears. He doesn't though...
  11. A credible source is a rumour based on actual discussions with other parties. A "thought" is not a rumour. Thinking that a GM may be calling the Canucks about Miller is not a rumour. It's a thought. We all have thoughts. Until those thoughts are backed up by some type of evidence that a discussion has taken place, then it is only a thought and not an actual source for discussion...
  12. TMZ usually breaks stories before the actual news channels...
  13. Explain to me how a "thought" by Friedman is some type of credible source and should be the basis of continuing on with a rumour thread that only has trade proposals inside of it?
  14. Rumours are based on some evidence, somebody talked to somebody else. A GM was quoted as saying, etc. This thread doesn't have any of that. All it has is some media guy's "thoughts". That's not a rumour.
  15. I agree 100%. This thread should be moved to the proposals thread, where posters can make trade proposals, which is basically what this thread is all about at this point. This is not a rumour thread, the rumours are all "thoughts" only and fake news at this point...
  16. Discussing wanting to move Miller for whatever reason is the reason we are on these boards. To create discussion. That part is totally fine and you can do that until the moon stops shining. When I say this thread is all about hope, it is because any potential Miller trade that is being discussed is being fueled by the parasitic media that have zero sources and zero actual news but keep feeding us with "thoughts" that are nothing more than propaganda and fake news. If these media people actually had some concrete sources and evidence that a Miller trade may be in the works, then this discussion may become more palatable for most people. At this point we are not even in the rumour stage of a Miller trade, we are only in the "thought" stage. Like I said, you can hang on to your hope, because that is all you got at this point...
  17. This thread is the hope thread. It gives some people hope that a Miller trade could happen. Don't crush their hope. It's all they got. Friedman keeps fueling that hope for them as well with his "thoughts". They have another 4 months of hope before their dream comes crashing down...
  18. He certainly got out of Vancouver pretty quickly. That house is completely vacant and staged. He couldn't get out of Vancouver quick enough and move back east. Pretty telling if you ask me...
  19. Seems like he’ll have quite a bit of extra cash available to buy a house in New York after he sells his house in Vancouver… https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/former-canucks-bo-horvat-home-for-sale Former Canucks captain Bo Horvat is selling his luxurious Vancouver home (PHOTOS) Former Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat is selling his home for a pretty penny, having been listed for $5.599 million. The median home price in Elmont, New York, where the New York Islanders play, was $649,000 in January. While Horvat might miss the team and his fans, he probably won’t miss Vancouver home prices.
  20. That is what I hope as well. If we can land one of those three guys, then we can go all out and use the NYI pick plus some other assets to get that stud RHD to partner Hughes for the next decade...
  21. My hope is we get lucky in the lottery and get another franchise type player. With a few moves on defence we can be the Colorado Avalanche and go from the Outhouse to the Penthouse in less than 5 years...
  22. We will get one of Bedard, Fantilli or Carlsson, so no need for PLD. Trust me, it's gonna happen...
  23. Benning would have made a great AGM. That's his ceiling. He never should have been a GM and be in charge of everything. Put him in charge of drafting and scouting, that's his area of expertise. That's what he did in Boston. Another team should hire him for that...
