  1. Tarasenko had enough girth he can give some of the extra to Petey.
  2. That he likes his vodka? Hey as long as he uses his girth to pop in 30 goals I am happy.
  3. I think Domi is out until November. The cap hit is what matters. Not sure what the salary payout would be. Tarasenko and Podkolzin can hang out together. If we can trade for Zadorov and Trenin we may be able to field our own Soviet Red Army team with lots of girth.
  4. Seattle takes Tarasenko and we trade a pick and a prospect to them and they retain 50% of his salary. At $3.75 million for the next two years Tarasenko would be a steal.
  5. Miller Pettersson Boeser Pearson Horvat Hoglander Motte Dickinson Podkolzin Highmore Beagle MacEwen I could live with that. I'm sure Benning is going to tweak this even more. But if we went into next season with that lineup I think we would be fine. We just need to work on the D now. A couple of RHD is what we need. Give me some Jani Hakanpaa. And go all in for Erik Cernak and we are done.
  6. Holtby did that last year. We don't really need him anymore. Demko is already a star...
  7. Winnipeg probably wanted a 2nd plus a prospect for Appleton. The cost was too high IMO. A 3rd round pick for a 26 year old PK specialist who can be your top defensive player I believe is good value. Benning did good. It wasn't a home run but it's one piece of the puzzle. I expect more pieces to follow.
  8. I don't believe they are even allowed to make a transaction at this point...
  9. He could also be less than that. He could be a career AHL'er. Benning is going for the sure thiing. Dickinson isn't just a bottom line winger. He's one of the better defensive players in the NHL. Let's not lump him in with a guy like Sutter. He's a big upgrade on Sutter.
  10. Because those guys would all be backups to Demko. At least Holtby has the potential to be Seattle's starter. He has won a Cup last time I checked.
  11. How is Lind getting us to the Cup? What exactly has he done in his career to lead you to believe he is a top 9 guy on a Cup contender? Dickinson was a 1str round pick. Lind was a 2nd round pick. Wouldn't Dickinson have more upside than Lind?
  12. There are 36 goalies entering UFA status this summer. I'm sure Benning can sign one of those to a much cheaper contract than $3 million...
  13. He might develop. He might not. Benning is going for the sure thing. Dickinson is one of the best defensive forwards in the entire NHL. Obviously he can help us right now. What exactly can Lind do for us?
  14. Pettersson, Boeser, Miller, Horvat, Pearson, Dickinson, Motte. That's your 7 forwards. Seattle can pick one of Virtanen, Lind, MacEwen, Gadjovich, Highmore. Or they can take Madison Bowey. Or they can take Holtby. Which one you think they are taking?
  15. Yes. And he also said he wants to make the playoffs next year. Dickinson played in the Stanley Cup final not too long ago. Lind at the same time was playing in the AHL. Lind isn't going to help us make the playoffs, Dickinson will.
  16. @Squamfan Glass was Benning's guy? No wonder you deleted your post, there is indisputable video evidence to prove you wrong...
  17. Dickinson is 3rd line material who can actually move up to the top 6 if needed. He isn't going to be on your 4th line. He averaged over 16 minutes a game last year. He could slot on the left side if there is an injury, but for the most part I think Benning is bringing him in to play 3C.
  18. The people who are criticizing the trade have never even watched Dickinson play. Monday morning couch potatoes who think they know better than anyone else.
  19. He's played 40 games for Dallas in the playoffs including every game in the Stanley Cup final last year in the bubble. To suggest he's an AHL player at this point shows your complete lack of knowledge of the NHL game...
