Apparently neither has Jim Benning, as he has the exact opposite viewpoint as you. Maybe you should tweet him the link the the Cap Friendly website before it’s too late... -

Leivo went down on December 19, at the time he was playing with BO and Pearson. There have only been 12 games played since his injury so how it is possible Loui has been playing with BO and Pearson for 22 games? -

Agreed. Jussi like Bure back in the day. A true threat short handed. With Jake’s speed and power he could easily get a few short handed goals this year.

[Report] Minnesota to become sellers
Elias Pettersson replied to Provost's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Dumbs is having a terrible year. Are people still living off the fact he got 50 points like 3 years ago? He has worse numbers that Myers this year, he’s got the worst +/- on the entire Minnesota team, and he’s coming off major surgery. He’s 180 pounds soaking wet and plays a physical game. He is on the decline, sorry to stay. I wouldn’t trade Hockey Gaud straight up for him. Hockey Gaud has a bright future. Dumba is trending in the opposite direction. -
Horvat had 9 points in 5 games between October 20 and October 30. I don’t recall empty net Loui playing on his wing during that time.
-
No unfortunately he won’t be exempt if he plays next year, he will need protection. If he’s played at least 10 games that counts as a pro season... http://sinbin.vegas/clarification-definition-first-second-year-professionals/

Does a 6’7” 265 pound ex girlfriend ever go away?
-
Loui has 4 goals all year and 2 were without the other teams goalie in the net. So let’s not get carried away with his production here. Also, to suggest that BO’s recent success is in part because of Loui is quite laughable. BO has been doing just fine without Loui for the last 5 years. He doesn’t need Loui to carry him, it’s the exact opposite. I’d love to see Virtanen on that line. With his speed and energy it would give BO way more space and also help Jake to get more ice time and put up even more points. Jake has earned his place on BO’s wing. Loui hasn’t earned anything.
-
Steve Kariya was never listed at 5’8” when he was drafted. He was always listed at 5’6’ or 5’7”. That DB site always changes players heights. I remember watching him play and he looked like Cliff Ronning.

I'm not sure it's as simple as his wrist isn't 100%. Did Laine injure his wrist? I think it's more he doesn't have those same opportunities he used to have and is also playing into a system. It's the same with Virtanen. When was the last time he pummeled a guy into the boards? He doesn't play that way anymore, he plays a more responsible 200' game and Jake has also become a very good passer. The other thing is that heavy shot that Boeser had was used a lot on the powerplay. If you notice we play with 4 forwards and Hughes on the first unit, so guys switch up and Boeser ends up on the point sometimes. Teams don't allow him to wind up anymore. Even Pettersson is finding less success with his one timer as teams are expecting it now.
-
Patrick Laine has less goals than Boeser this year. It’s hard to score 40 goals in this league. Boeser has changed his game, he is more of a 200’ player now. He’s not just a one trick pony.

Virtanen looks to have a full well rounded game now. His passing has improved tremendously and he still has that laser of a shot. With his world class skating he looks like the complete package. Best part of Jake’s game is he’s 226 pounds so he’s fully built for playoff hockey. Can’t wait to see what he can do in the post season. I’d move him up to BO’s line. Watching Eriksson on that line is quite painful. I think Jake has earned the promotion and would give us two solid top 6 lines. I’d put Sutter on the 3rd line at RW when he gets back. I’d also consider bringing up Kole Lind at some point to see what he can do. -

yes he has dual citizenship... Early life[edit] Virtanen was born August 17, 1996, in New Westminster, British Columbia, and spent his first 12 years living in Langley, British Columbia, before settling in nearby Abbotsford.[1][2] He attended Yale Secondary School, in Abbotsford, as well as the Yale Hockey Academy.[3] He played minor hockey in Abbotsford.[4] His father, Rainer, is originally from Finland.[4] Virtanen acquired jus sanguinis Finnish citizenship through his father.[2] -

AA has great speed but is having a bad year so not sure if last year was an outlier or not. With Hoglander, Podkolzin and Lind coming up I’d like to see what the kids can offer before bringing in a veteran like AA who is an RFA and would want big dollars to sign long term. Getting rid of Eriksson and Baertschi’s contract would be great but I’m not sure this is the best way to do it. -
