  1. Almost makes me wonder if someone with those kind of qualities who also knows the game so well would be interested in a vacant GM position
  2. The look on Miller's face is someone that just went full lactic after giving it his all plus some on that 2 minute shift to end the game. For those of you that have never really experienced that, it causes you to get tunnel vision, confusion and you feel the need to get as much space around you as possible. I remember finishing a 5k road race in a personal best and when my wife and 2 year old son came up to me right after the race I pushed them away momentarily to recover. Miller was absolutely gassed and did everything he could for his team. Watch that shift again and he had to work harder than everyone else due to how the play developed.
  3. I can't help but laugh at what Dubas did here with a 1st Rd pick and a cap dump vs what Benning did with a 1st, 2nd and 3 cap dumps to get 2 incredibly key players in return. I don't understand how Dubas still has a job but the way their season is going that may not be for much longer.
  4. Pretty sure Dahlin will be an RFA at the end of his contract
  5. Benning must be one of those people that has to make an "L" with his hands to figure out his left and right
  6. I don't know man. The Orcas are looking in the opposite direction, could be a metaphor....
  7. I'd check again I just counted LA having 10 players on the roster 26 and under. Also what happened to the 27-29 year olds?
  8. Source? Because this source says LA ranks 31st (30.9yrs) for average age where as Vancouver ranks 4th (27.6yrs) https://www.rosterresource.com/nhl-roster-breakdowns/
  9. Are you ignoring this part of his argument or just don't like his evidence?
  10. Just noticed Miller has more points than anyone in Tampa. Good thing JB wanted Miller and not Stamkos or Kucherov
  11. I think it's a bit premature to get worked up over the lack of knowledge about the injury. If they're bringing him back to Vancouver for further evaluation it's most likely so they can learn the full extent of the injury which will require extensive testing. My guess is once they know more we'll know more.
  12. This thread has gone in the wrong direction. I wonder how they're going to replace Coaches Corner. Kevin Bieksa and Scott Oak together every Saturday night could make for some hilarious cringeworthy entertainment.
  13. I agree with you that it seems soft for the NHL to be looking into a punch to the face with a glove on but this was quite a bit more extreme than your typical gloved hockey punch. I'd say 99% of punches are half hearted jabs, Lucic tried take the guys head off.
  14. Nevermind just rookie goalies, he's second in the league with those stats too
  15. In 4 games Neal has already matched his goal total from last year. I don't like Edmonton but I hate Calgary so this is awesome
  16. The way I see it is the Canucks traded away a mid to late 1st round draft pick for a mid 1st round draft pick that has developed into exactly that. I also think Miller has the potential to hit another level on this team since he'll be leaned in much more here. Most likely scenario Canucks win this trade since the odds say the draft pick won't develop into what Miller is today. Worst case scenario the draft pick turns into the next Pastrnak.
