  1. No he doesn't. He was in press box last season and probably in taxi squad this season. So the place he occupies is on his ass. Do you really want the young players do that instead of playing? The only way he gets in the playing roster is if Green needs to tighten up the defence due a lot of injuries and Louis good defence. Wich players like Gaudette and MacEwen can't handle yet.
  2. Exactly, so why is everybody here obsessed with him? Some strange love/hate relation?
  3. Well, last year he was in the pressbox till injuries tore up the team. Is that to be gifted a spot? Now, the max is to sit still in a taxi squad without playing a whole season because we have so many good players. He is really good at positioning himself and it helps his team. As you saw with Horvat last season and under the scrimmage yesterday. So as a last minute call it's good having a sane defenceminded player to pick. He won't get many chances under this short season. His only chance is if a few players don't get it defencewise or a lot of unlucky injuries, wich we all don't want to see. .
  4. If only more fans understood this.
  5. By the way, where is the pub in Timrå you talked about?
  6. As AJ says... Why bother about a player that won't throw away his rights(no one on this forum would do it either) and won't play much. He played only because of injuries last season, Leivo par example. He didn't have a place on the playing roster last season. He will probably be in taxi squad due to Green like to have our younger players playing and he is experienced enough to know what to to if is a lot of injuries. He might get pushed down if Green will rotate the squad. If so will the best beside the goalie, be taxi players.
  7. The bad in your comparation(or what you say) is that when I bring in JB(because of issues with par example Dahlen( as I don't need to say anything about JB without that issue)) I get 20 angry answers... When Dahlen got jumped only I stepped in. Regarding Loui it's better now but from the start it was almost only I that tried to steer the ship on a better course. A bit unfair to compare us two.
  8. Watching fans talk $&!# about their own players is much worse. I wouldn't write anything about those players if the fans behaved nice and only joked about them. When they become nasty I jump in.
  9. Sure... The only problem I've heard has more to do with loyalty to his club in Sweden and a fear of concussions. Because those two "problems" can make people lose objectives. So psychology is key. The thing you talk about, "worth ethic"(or work ethic) is damage control from Utica.
  10. I actually think Benning should have sent Dahlen to Timrå at once instead of AHL. It was a pain for Dahlen to know that it went downhill for the team he loved. Psychology is something very important. And if you want goons only you get goons, or drones if it's more suitable. Benning showed a player that was teamfriendly in mind if you nurture it. Benning showed he didn't understand the situation. Go to Dahlens thread if you want to discuss mor.
  11. Well, it has surfaced a lot of abuse from coaches around the league. And it probably gets worse the lower tier in NA you get. So the neanderthal thinking in NA I talked about exists.
  12. Well, I post something positive about him now. Don't read if you dislike him. "He (Eriksson) has a tip around the opponent's goal with nice wrists and a good reaction ability. He is good at controlling the pucks and has a fast game perception. There is a lot of good in him that makes him score a lot of points with us (in Tre Kronor), explains the assistant national team captain Johan Garpenlöv. - We in Sweden also do not have very many who take that job in front of the opponent's goal. He does it incredibly well and then you get a lot of time in powerplay as well."(thanks to Google) https://hockeysverige.se/2019/05/18/loui-eriksson-battre-an-zata-och-alfie
  13. Keep posting... He might reach Jakes level if so. He is popular around here.
  14. When the coach is so important in bringing out the best in your players it is a very important issue how management treat players that don't fit the current system. Players know about favouritism.
  15. This shows that you're not Petey.
  16. And now we talk about situations that can make a great player put us on NTC-list.
  17. He managed to get in the national Team while playing in second tier. https://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/hockey/a/dlllxo/dahlen-far-landslagsdebutera
  18. I hear a lot about anchor contracts. Or take Luongos. These contracts are out there and the one thing Benning should know is to not sign them even if we have cap space.
  19. Yes, but I assume their bodies has some health issues that may cause problems later.
  20. Why don't you just accept that Benning made a mistake and hopefully learnt something for the future. Let Green decide wich to play and be fine with it. You wouldn't turn down 5 mill so stop with the hypocracy.
  21. I'll probably do it because of all swedes in that club and Marky is hard to not like, especially when he acts like a large spider in the net. Petey make the Canucks no. 1 though.
  22. He seems to have been Penguins Loui. Sane position wise and prefered by Crosby. Can't score but can circulate up and down the lines.
  23. So you don't know that I react because of fans almost threatening tveir own players?. I don't bother about Loui, it's Greens and Bennings headache. I didn't bother when Loui was pushed out if the team. Because we had depth.
  24. No, Loui is not the goalscorer anymore. But Horvat is...
  25. Well, the really big problem here is that Green made a bad decision to play an injuried Toffoli instead wich handicapped the line Toffoli played on.
