So PA move OEL to have a double punch down the middle in orm of Petey and Dubois. with Miller on Dubois line so we will have two lines with multiple 100points players!

Well, Benning is the only one here I see fits anything close to that. He is the only one that save his face while being careless of others. So learn a bit about psychopathy. One of the warning signs is that they don’t excuse themselves if they done something bad. Benning might be more of a narcissist though…

Well, if life were as easy as you say no one would be corrupt. People get corrupted when they believe no one will find out. Benning with his save face persona fits that profile. The long run it’s many things that can be involved. Promises to sign another player if so etc.

Agents is most probably since there he got most contacts, both by himself and by his father. Some don’t need much to be corrupted and some think many small streams becomes a river… Don’t say you never seen corruption in your life. I’ve seen a lot of it in Sweden and when swedes are talked about around the world they are one of the least corrupt, way below USA. People said the same when I said Benning took money under the table for all the vets contracts he gave away so we used all cap. Yet money under the table has a way to happen everywhere in society but not in NHL. It’s fascinating that NHL is the only place dirty money doesn’t excist.

This is what I believe. We have a lot of 5/6 D and Bears injury might be the trigger here. When he got injured we lost a RHD tat was thought of being the 4th D and we have to replace him. LHD is easier so the money probably goes to a RHD.

Hmm, so PA and OEL can have an agreement in place. It would be fun if they agreed on a buyout and then get OEL on a league minimum contract. Or will such a deal make Bettman angry?

We are competative now. Especially with the addition on D they planned for. Or we don’t need that with Hirose coming in. We can play exactly as good as we played the second part of the season. Petey jr will probably play similar as he seems to be hard to play against. But what I like is that his favourite player is Petey. That means he will get revenge on every player taking cheap shots on Petey. You probably saw how Edler did. He saw someone take a cheap shot and later in the game he nailed him. This Petey will do the same.

You got one or two defence left and that is that OEL probably is a misfit with Tocchet or that the foot injury is worse than believed. So he might have been good next season. We know too little for now

I’m not sure why you talk about the owners only. Benning was a mess and probably lied to everyone he met. PA was against buyouts but he would use it if he had to so he opened the door that Alf saw. This is about to get us competing before Hughes is tempted to leave and meet up with his bros. So PA has four years to do something because after that the window might close if we can’t talk Hughes in to stay or we get another amazing D as him. So forget about owner. Look at the core and when we have to start compete. That is why BB had to go asap, OEL buyout etc…

I give them two years anyway. Do you think that is too much for them to show what they got? Not as many years as Green got…

I don’t like it and PA gamble on that cap goes up pretty much in three years. The positive note is that Tocchet and PA can shape the team for the future. OEL was only temporary.

Understanding

I saw him save face in almost every interview I saw or read. Not many but those were regarding OEL trade, Dahlen, Loui, drafting Petey, Tanev and Toffoli and probably a lot more that I haven’t read. A lot of assumptions and a lot of human knowledge. You might remember who started talking about a GM isn’t a scout only as many here argued when talking shat about Gillis. Or who said how bad Benning was as a GM? Was it 93 percent that thought he did a good job in 2020! Now the numbers are almost the opposite only because Benning managed to show how bad he was in Qubic. I said that the coach at Utica isn’t any good and that the prospects isn’t handled the right way there. The success in Abby with the change of coach and handling of the prospects(Sedins, Samuelsson) shows how right I was Almost three homeruns by me, full of myself as I am , so some knowledge of the human mind have I.

So you agree that Benning was spineless then. And is the reason the Canucks lost 6 years. The GM is supposed to take control of the team. If he lets the owner interfer he is spineless and to weak to be a GM. If Benning didn’t have any owner interfer it’s all on Benning. Both situations the GM is the fault.

The problem with Benning is that he has a Trump persona. He save his face in every situation and he ”knowsitall”. That creates a lot of problem regarding what is truth, who said what, who scouted etc. So regarding Lind, he might have heard someone said the right words about Kole at the right time and then Benning decides to run with him without any depth. That is the kind of deciding a Trump persona does… And, they get so full of themselves so they actually believe that they did the decisions and disregard every scout report leading up to that decision, hence what happened to Brackett. Benning thought he could do what Brackett did and believed it to.

My hope is for the young Petey that will kill everyone coming near Petey. He will act more defensively and maybe compare him to Edler.

Not exactly, waivers and cost control is two variables that had an influence in them playing in Abby. We got a lot of wingers now so it’s easy to use different strategies for our younger players.
