When will people stop cheering or booing a GM for the draft picks? A GM does a lot that has absolutely nothing to do with drafting players. He got the overall responsibility and a very tiny part is the draft. The same with the director. He’s coordinating and run the scouts so that he organisation around drafting works as it should. We can always talk about who hired who regarding analysts and scouts. But that is much harder to get into and we need a lot more info to pass judgement.

So coach T called out the team "soft", who will be our team's enforcer then?

For me it’s not about a tough man but get the team to hit a lot more. The body get used to hits that way and when the playoff runs, the body doesn’t get injured or tired as easy. Tocchet can have them run and hit walls and be gentkemen during the 82 games games. That’s enough for the body to endure and fight back when necessary in playoffs. -
Cap… Wait it out a year or pay a price to make space?

He got first hand info about out LTIR players. You don’t have to look any further. -

The words I remember talked about Beau as a quick speedy forward that played best during playoffs. He was clearly a player PA accepted to taje in the trade, not a cap dump. -

[Report/Rumour] Elias Pettersson Contract Talks

Ok, I kind if agree if Petey want 13 mill. He’s probably worth that after next season etc -
ASP has played in one of the better clubs in SHL wich is a bit above the swiss league Rienbacher plays in. So that doesn’t say much. Some can’t take the next step even if they play against men. So we have to wait a few years to see if the talk about this draft is that good.

How was Hronek an overpay? Theodore is similar, what do you think he would cost? -
And it will be fun to see if expectasions is right. Carlson will have to do a better tear than Petey in Draft +1 as one example. SHL will be real fun if so. Especially since he will play with Lekkerimäki and Elias the second.
-
For me it will be fun to see if this draft really has the depth all talking about. Almost every other year the draft is talked about this way. Bedard is the difference.

Rick Tocchet will Be a Good HC for Us (Randip Janda / Frank Corrado)

They interviewed Henrik Tömmernäs that played in Utica way back and he hasn’t any good memories. Everyone wanted out of ”Utica” He learned to be more egoistic though. As a swede he thought team first but in Utica it was very egoistic ”I want up”. So it’s pretty nice to hear fans here talking about team first when in reality all the players, at least back then, thought me me me. That is on the coach wich was Green when Tömmernäs played there. Green guided Cull later… From swedish interview -
Is the Current Canuck Defence Playoff Team Quality? (My Analysis)

Wich players are missing for the depth you’re talking about? -
Just look at Beauvillier. with Petey he was equal to Horvat here. In third line you could have switched Podz, Hogz and Beau without notice.
-
Now you’re talking against yourself. I said earlier that Silovs has to play with the Canucks to get us around 10 points more on his own. Who knows how much more points Demko gets because he doesn’t get injured. Every point is crucial as you said, therefor Demko should play less than 50 and Silovs the rest and both are ready for the playoffs. They can even split it almost in half and get 50 games each after the playoffs.
-
I found him but he wasn’t traded. He got no contract with us and is 5,9, Connor Lockhart
-
With Garland and Hogz Studnicka don’t have any pressure on him. He can do what he want when those to circle around pissing the oppo off
-
That means my view on the matter is the future so I hope Tocchet adapts to modern thinking.
-
I’m just talk about a little part of your post. Both Podz and Hogz was caught in AHL due to the fact we have a surplus of wingers. without Garland and Beauvillier they had played. Kuz and Mik is a must in top 6 so Podz and Hogz is bottom 6 for now.
-
We already got Pettersson coming next season. If ASP falls we might get two next season.
-
I can’t find him but I’ m tempted to go with Studnicka as C with Garland and Hogz. It might be interesting to see what happens in offensive zone. They will most definately draw a lit of penalties.
-
We have a lot of young Ds in 5/6 territory. We only need that one of them is able to take the next step and be a 3/4
-
Since penalties is used a lot more in international tournaments he fits right in. At least he would be allowed to play as he wants.

The WC today is more of a second class tournament and not a top priority. If all players were available we could talk business.
