He is going to look good playing with Petey.

In the case of my son he is the dentist. Yes they have always had PPE prior to Covid. Their problem is that their orders for PPE are not coming very quickly at all. Also the quality of the PPE needed has been upped since Covid. It is not a question of being willing to pay or not.
-
JT has certainly sent the money out. My comments were to do with PPE and testing.
-
We are into this for 8 months now and there still is not PPE for professionals let alone regular citizens. Both my son and daughter are in dental offices and they cannot get proper face masks and even gowns have been slow coming. Testing for Covid. What testing? You cannot get it in my town. My daughter and grand daughter (Calgary) were waiting for almost 3 hours 10 days ago. Another 3 days for results. I don't hold the medical people responsible. They can only work with what they are given. IMHO the federal Liberals are responsible.

The Canuck Marek Malik or the NYR between the legs Marek Malik? I cannot remember the reasons he left. Thought he was decent while here.

Joe Biden Debates Donald Trump September 29
Boudrias replied to DonLever's topic in Off-Topic General
For the thinking crowd the Dems should have gone after Bill Gates. Failing that, and to counter Trump's economic cred, they should have gone after Mark Cuban. Half the American voters will likely vote for Trump. They are not all rednecks, nazis and whatever else the label. Gates and Cuban are both superior candidates than Biden and could have given Trump more than he could handle. -

I am fully allocated on CVS. I want RTX at $58. Will revisit AMZN at $2850. No direct oil exposure but will look at WCP in Dec or Jan. I guess the Pipes are a indirect play with ENB and TRP. I look for a TR of +10% so I am happy holding the Pipes. My gold play is holding well but I am still a little surprised that days like this does not cause more of a rush to buy. The Euros are back to their scams with a couple of $trillion in question?? The Germans have been sitting on this for a couple of years. Buy well! -

He seemed to have told a story that many were eager to hear. A capitalization that exceeded Ford??? No revenue??? How would/could anyone evaluate this Co.? -
[Speculation] Jake Debrusk might be available.
Boudrias replied to MoneypuckOverlord's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
IMHO Boeser has a lot of growth to go yet. His +200 pounds will become a bigger part of his game. I like DeBrusk a lot but not more than Boeser. DeBrusk played PP2 this year when I watched him. Nice outside speed. -
I view Jake as more a 3 year vet going into his 4th season. Jake's first 2 seasons were a disaster. He spends the better part of year 2 in Utica with Green as coach. Comes back to Van, with Green, and starts relearning the NHL. In the past 3 seasons he has shown grown in his play and in his scoring stats. Is it enough? Players and their potential are always being evaluated by management. I trust that JB and Green have a solid idea of Jake's value.

[Speculation] Alex Galchenyuk to test free agency
Boudrias replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
What? Are they moving again? Never forgave the NHL for letting them get all those free players when they merged roster from who? The Cleveland Barons? -
I see Boeser’s name in connection with a Dumba trade. Kinda makes sense.

Almost a half million bikers at Sturgis. I thought they would be dropping like flies by now.

I can see the use of ETF index funds if the objective is a long term hold, especially if the ETF is actively managed. Combating the psychology of active trading is big in long term returns. One of my biggest issues moving forward is global debt and the ultimate fallout this represents. Most politicians have discovered the printing press and are creating money out of a promise to pay down the road. This has been happening for years but the scale has gone astronomic. My response to this has been blue chip dividend stocks with yield and allocation to gold. My dividend stocks have not performed YTD as they have not returned to break even. I take the cash flow and buy more based on a allocation model. I have a quasi firm conviction that the market will have to re-evaluate dividend payers as the cost of money remains at zero or even less than zero. -
Within a month of the Democrats winning the election I expect a Covid vaccine on the market.

TT should play a more complete game he is an experienced vet. Boeser is 23 and just completed his 3rd NHL season. He has size and a wicked shot. I am not saying he is not tradeable as any player is moveable. I agree that the defense is the most area in need.

Lots of great play by a number of Canucks during playoffs. As you mentioned Petey's play at both ends of the rink was exemplary. Instead of getting knocked out his play seemed to be getting stronger. He was performing in all aspects of the game. Another 10 pounds and he will dominate even more. Very excited to where this kid will top out at. Mentally very very strong.
-
Just turned 24 so I see him starting the season with the Canucks unless the CAP forces him out. I am quite sure Jake knows exactly what is expected of him. Green and the coaching staff will have watched lots of film with him. Watching the Vegas series and now the Final Four it is obvious that the Canucks need Jake's size or comparables. It each year the latitude available to him shrinks as the depth in the org produces more competition. In Benning I trust.

( Rumor) Lehner and Vegas agree to contract
Boudrias replied to Squamfan's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
It makes you wonder if any term over 4 years are likely done for now. CAP is likely frozen for a few years or until Bettman finalizes a new USA broadcast deal. Definitely not until fans are able to attend games. Burkie talked about the new drive to platoon the goal tending role in the NHL as teams don't see value in signing high, long term deals for a single tender. Vegas having Fleury for another 2 years at $7 mil is a classic example. -
Is TT fast enough for a consistent top 6 threat? WiIl Pearson still be a top 6 forward a a CUP contending team? Both players are young enough to fit a timeline that targets serious CUP contention in 2 years. My take is that Pearson likely drops down into a 3rd line role with PK time. The idea of duration over 3 year term makes me antsy unless there are no NMC or NTC in those contracts.

Where did you see that ALA was cutting their dividend? Their PO is currently 76%. Y= 5.8%; Internal rate of return 19.2%; Dividend payout confirmed today for payment on Sep.24th. Not seeing anything. -
[Speculation] Canucks looking to move Jake Virtanen
Boudrias replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Green had Jake on the PP2 during the playoffs which says something about Green's perception of Virtanen. Either the injury problem was more serious than let on (playing wounded) or Green thinks Jake has upside. Not as if Green didn't have other options for the PP2. -
[Signing] Oilers sign Adam Cracknell
Boudrias replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I believe Cracknell played for the Ice in Cranbrook and is now a part owner in the Cranbrook BCHL franchise. Married a Cranbrook girl. Character guy who has a solid work ethic which might be one of the reasons Holland signed him. There seems to be a level of flakiness in the Oiler org.
