Investing in the stock market - Discussion
Boudrias replied to AV's Coin's topic in Off-Topic General
I already have a RTX position I was trying to add to it. Due to their merger the revenue has actually shrank this year. C-19 doesn't help. The EPS is forecasted to +35% in 2021. that drops the PE to 16 which makes it attractive. -

I have been trying to buy RTX all week but it won't pull back to 61.00. I will keep my order in as there will be a pullback. -
I was reading a Mauldin newletter that was talking about a spectrum of UV light that kills C-19. Suggestion that a walk thru system similar to airport security is in the works.

The whole issue gets dumbed down so people don't have to think to hard about what actually is happening. Easy fix to blame the cop for being trigger happy, a nazi or racist. The vast majority of people have no idea what cops have to go thru each day when they are out on the beat. They have no idea what the training tells the cop to do in scenarios like this. I AM NOT SUGGESTING THAT MISTAKES CANNOT BE MADE. What is happening in the USA now is a political exploitation of incidences like this one. Do the investigation, make it transparent and then publicize the results. Do not tolerate violent demonstrations and looting.

Joe Biden Debates Donald Trump September 29
Boudrias replied to DonLever's topic in Off-Topic General
Why do you assume it will be better if Biden is elected? The USA is almost evenly divided. We have the fascist GOP led by Trump and the commie DNC led by Biden. Pick your poison. I suggest politics often reflect forces at work within society that are not always seriously debated. Debt is the massive issue that neither of these parties want to seriously talk about. The same in Canada. As politicians these people are quite willing to print money and make promises they cannot keep. It is very dishonest and exploitive. Who is hurt the most by these actions? It is always those on the lower end of the financial scale. Governments have made social promises to electors. Their current actions will inflate the cost of living to untenable levels. The left seems to think they can do a better job of allocating resources than can capitalism. Their track record is worse than poor where they have had that opportunity. When you talk of the 'dark' days ahead I do not disagree. Whether Trump or Biden neither will save the situation. I actually think that Trump will likely win in November. The DNC had 4 years to build a platform that could have rebuilt the nations politics so that the country could have united around a middle ground. They did not. Whomever wins in November will continue their bizarre economics instead of engaging in real discussion of how scarce resources will be spent. The real threat is totalitarianism from the right or left. I think the threat exists from both sides. -
What I remember is 2011 and '94. No doubt in my mind that Vegas will up the physical side. What the league does about it after the fact doesn't mean a lot. More worried about Hughes than EP40. I think Hughes got hurt when he took that double hit. Just because they are targeted doesn't mean that the Canuck game plan will change. They have to play their game to have any chance of winning the series.

Joe Biden Debates Donald Trump September 29

I am one of those who does not like Trump's personality but support his actions on; - exposing the China threat - recognizing that globalism was for the benefit of select groups and not for the working man - holding so called allies to account for not meeting their treaty commitments on defense spending - trying to secure the USA border against illegal entry - not joining military adventurism in the ME, ie Syria. Securing a quasi peace accord between Israel and some Arab states What I don't support is his increase in USA debt. He was running numbers up before Covid and now it is likely unsaveable. So fly at'er boys I am sure my perceptions are totally wrong. That said I am not a racist or Nazi. -
I was shocked when I saw him playing the half wall on the PP. He moves the puck so well that we likely see that again. Has the skating speed to cover if the point man attacks down. Which coach thought that up? IMHO it was very effective.

If winning CUPs are important to TT then he resigns in Van to play with EP40. A special night for that line.
-
Means nothing. More important that the Laffers made a trade yesterday. They have to be hating the Canuck run.

I questioned sitting Mac for Gaudette but must admit his speed improved the forecheck. I doubt Green changes a winning combo. MacEwan could slot in if injuries affect players. There is no doubt there are players playing hurt. I like so much of what Mac brings but he needs TOI in the regular season to develop his situational awareness. It appears that speed is more likely to beat Vegas over physicality.

Tony Stecher QBs the PP from the half wall. Whaaaat? Looked good doing it as well. Now there is an active coaching group. TT with EP40 and Pearson, what a line. EP40, Elias Pettersson: As quickly as we have seen this kid develop since he first suited up I suggest we are seeing him take another huge step in these playoffs. The number of hits he has absorbed is amazing yet he is willing to take more. What will he do with another 10-15 pounds? Watch his body language on the bench. He is starting to look a tad scary with those steely eyes. Kudos to Green and the coaching staff. Adjustments necessary, adjustments made. Upped the tempo and trusted Marky to make the saves. Obvious that some players are playing hurt (Hughes and Miller).

Conservative Party of Canada Holds Annual Convention

I don't want an Israeli style government. How about political parties that actually do the work of connecting with the grassroots. Libs, CPC, NDP are all top down outfits. Not sure about the Greenies or Bloc. -

It was Trump that cut the corporate tax rate. That probably had much to do with the growth surge and thusly increased employment numbers. -

What can I say? I am depressed and very disillusioned. -
Vegas forecheck and neutral zone play were superior last game. Vancouver excels when they have puck possession which was denied by Vegas. Vegas has a lot of vet experience and playoff experience. In Game #2 IMHO it is whether Van can get more ozone time and whether the Canuck d-core can stand up to the Vegas forward pressure. Needless to say Marky has to be the 1st Star.

Conservative Party of Canada Holds Annual Convention
Boudrias replied to DonLever's topic in Off-Topic General
I gave up on eastern conservative 3 years ago. I see no cultural or economic connect anymore. Either you can explain your philosophical commitment or you cannot. The CPC cannot or fear that if they do it will sink them. The left dwell on subjective BS and when exposed simply move onto the next issue. Canada as a country has critical issues facing it and I don't see a leader of any party that is even talking about them. I guess Bernier is the closest and since I won't vote for another easterner he is out. I am still voting Wexit, yesterday doesn't change anything. Outside the box? O'Toole is able to coax Bernier back into the CPC. Not very likely. The issue Bernier is faced with is most of his support is in AB & Sask. If those people moved to Wexit then Bernier is toast. That is the likely outcome. -
Vegas played the game they wanted to. Vancouver appeared intimidated with the opening puck drop. We all know they can play better so let's wait for Tuesday. On the bright side I thought Jake had a pretty decent game. A few hits and some shots on net. Jake has to play big and it appears that he is learning that in these playoffs. No matter what anyone says, 'size does matter', in CUP play.

[Report] Washington Capitals fire Todd Reirden

Trots takes the Islanders to the Finals and maybe the Cap GM is in trouble. Love Trots. If Van had the talent he might have chosen Vancouver. He was classy in his rejection.
