  1. ... and me who thought the message board was dead. well to sum the pre-season up, we have definetly gotten a more soild defense. Dmen Cole was outstanding tonight and cole and souce are fantastic additions. Our bottom 6 has gotten a lot more solid also, bringing in Blueger and suter has had a definite impact on the PK and killing off the opositions top lines. Good night message board...

  2. all teams regroup and renew and there are so many factors involved in it. these assessments are based on last year...i think we are dependant on how our youngsters develop...we need more high quality depth while the top line continues to produce as last year. and at the same time its crucial  that hogs, podz, brock can take another step in their development = we are playoff bound...

Seriously. I don’t know what that does to Petey’s number…

Matthews has two Rocket Richards, a Hart trophy, and Selke votes in 5 years.  He’s also better on face offs.

yea but those numbers are higher then mcdavids and hes not better than mcdavid is he? and hes definetly no selke nominee....id say yea sure hes a bit more developed but has less potential then petey does. in fact, i wouldnt be surprised if EP40 surpasses mathews by quite a bit and ends up runner up to mcdavids in points total...

A few years ago, I might've agreed, but even if it's home, it's hard to believe that a league that has a war-torn country as it's home is a good league to play in right now.

The pay is most likely way better, and he gets icetime with a team on a top 6 line. Russia is big...and i doubt its war torn due to skirmishes, ukraine and close by is another story. Russsians gets pumped with "their side of the story" from the media so maybe hes pro russian politics also.....maybe he misses russian socials and friends? personally i find it horrible whenever i read abt swedish hockeyplayers still playing in the KHL by free will also..but as mentioned, money talks.

  5. the thing is ppl can change....as we all know, life happends....and we evolve and take steps in our lives that change the outcome for those around u as well as urself. to know what changes someone so drastically is never certain and theres  always more things beneath the surface then what u think u know. opinions changes....work...relationships, family, friends....all those things that creates a stability can loose meaning and instead theres a grasp for something that can replace/create something that is needed....keep one foot in the earth and one in the sky....we create/change our fates with every choice and every action...

  6. hm...well being honest and open about things is not the best diplomacy at all times. u need a diplomatic role as a captain and care for the whole team....thats a huge responsibility,,,,but i agree that currently JT is someone that can put emotions into play the right way also which does make him a candidate for the C.

  7. Sharks trying to establish themselves as the previous years chicago? trade to get worse....man they are tryin hard for next years first pick.

Pens do have Guentzel out for the first month of the season so they are gonna struggle a bit...still must b good for Karlsson to get to a more competitive team.

Habs get Petry so they got that for them...aslo gettin rid of Hoffman...(imagine Pens gettin Hoffman and Karlsson given their history )

  8. i agree on that his familys health has taken its toll on him. he was a top line player during the 2020 season and should not have stopped evolving. theres still hope but then u gotta see that kind of sharp skating and shooting he had as during that 2020-21 season from the get-go on pre-season camp. we need BB, hogs and Podz to take another step and elevate the lines they play on if we want to be able to contend and those players are in the potential category of actually reaching top line material on any team in the NHL. But they do need to take that next step and evolve and have that kind of fight/spirit as well as producing consistently.....then that star-quality confidence will take them to that level. team needs it....they need...we, the fans, need it...
