back to back game....virt out, hughes out? i had no idea.... This one is gonna be tough though. Sharks is a team that is wayyy better then their current standings. Some players and teams can take some time to get started during the season and im just hoping it wont be tonight that they decide to wake up. Hope for a 3-2 win, Edler, Brock, Bo with the goals. petey and miller with 2 assists.

saw him more as a powerforward then a fighter.....he does have some skill to him so playing physical works fine during the right circumstances. -
its tricky with these kind of things. Right now we have an awesome team. Benn and myers are great new additions and Hughes is a star OD. Brock got adeal that most certainly was favourable for the teams caphit and Miller is the most awesome addition to the team we could have gotten to fit in with petey and brock. How many of these players can stay on the same team if petey brock and Hughes all need contracts on the 7-11 million mark? that doesnt leave room for depth players. ofc this is thinking ahead, but right now im just enjoying the moment and hope for the Playoffs.
-
Well to me he adds depth against heavier teams, like against the caps. Thats where he is needed, to create space in front of the oposing net, winning battles for positioning etc. This type of powerforward is needed in order to stir things up. Yes, in modern hockey its mainly about speed and skill, but it will be much easier for heavier oposition that are skilled and tactical to outmaneuver those that dont have that type muscle/weight/style needed. I definetly see him as an important piece on the team for those reasons.
-
Agreed. these last 3 games he was starting to make a real impact. Hope he returns soon.

Game day, Ferland injured against a pretty heavy sized oposition. Does anyone know what lines will be played tonight? first 2 are obvious: Pearson-Bo-Virtanen Miller-Petey-Brock but with Ferland out, then what? Gaudette-Sutter-Leivo? I wouldnt mind seeing Baer on the wing but gaud was real good during training camp so he definetly has earned a spot. Baer is an NHL quality player, but hard to get by on the LW when u got paerson, Ferland and Leivo being able to fil that role. I still think Baer could fight for the LW on the 2nd line. Peteys line is intact, lets get that straight. But Baer has a skillset worthy of that 2nd line. Pearson has more power, as well as ferland. Leivo a bit more on the creative end. When u look at it like this its one heck of an improvement from last year i must say. Now for the game i think this could be pretty tough. Heavy oposition is not huggy bear and tanevs strength to face when in their own zone. i hope the skillset will be enough for a win and that no one gets some kind of "unnecesary" innjury when fighting for the puck or position. if the skills are enough id say a 4-2 win, but if they get caught in a grumpy battle type of game id say 3-2 loss in OT. Hoping theres no underestimation of the oposition so that loss wont be there. Will still enjoy the game, i just love watching our first line produce and score goals. goals by Brock, Miller, Edler and Bo. Huggy bear with 2 assists. -
gotta luv it when a sniper gets on a roll.....
-
Id say this game is more about getting it done and not underestimating the oposition. nucks are better and got a first line to fear for any oposition with petey being the new magic man, miller a playmaker that can score and Brock being the natural sniper. Hoping for a good start to the roadtrip! 4-3 if simply getting it done.....but im guessing 5-2 seems more likely based on the teams current status. Brock, petey, Huggy bear, Jake, Leivo with the goals.

Heres the thingy....This season we have got an addition to peteys line with a player of a different level then before and thats got the type of style that fits brock and petey. Miller chases and wins pucks and does a lot of the hard work needed as well as being great at faceoffs. Hes a bit like Bo skillwise but is a natural winger. The line of Miller-Petey-Brock will produce a lot of points this season and since everyone considers petey (calder winner on his sopmore year) a main threat next to Brocks sniping, there will be plenty of openings for someone that works the way Miller does. Therefore its very likely that Brock and Miller will get more goals then petey. Considering the extra attention petey gets i dont think there will be too many flashy moves but instead more relying on his wingers then before. Its a team sport afterall. This line is very solid and even if it doesnt show as much as before on the flashy moves department, petey is racking up the points. Once he has found ways needed to deal with the extra attention i expect to see more and more of his greatness, just like his amazing start last season. Petey: 11 gp 3G 11 A Miller: 11 gp 6G 7 A Brock: 11 gp 4G 6A I would surely take into account that by the end of the season these 3 players will all be around the 80-100 point mark. Thats EXACTLY what u want from ur first line. They are the ones that decides the games. Now lets not jinx it and hope they will play a full season.

Gameday, Not sure if i can call panthers favs, they have been pretty average. Nucks played well against caps and now its time to get back to winning again. No matheson so no cheap shots from behind i hope. If so then Peteys line should have some halloween fun and get some points. nucks win 5-2, brock 2, petey 1, Virtanen, Edler with the goals. Huggy bear with 2 assists.

id say ferlands best game so far. Ferland-Bo-Virtanen is a pretty good heavy line imo. power when needed and id say against this type of heavy oposition like the caps, they will definetly be more needed then other type of oposition. This is where Ferland gets really useful and makes a huge difference for the team compared to last year.
-
If Huggy Bear continues the way he has started this season id proudly give him the rookie of the year title.....
-
yup some - in the protocol tonight, mainly due to turnovers imo. Its tougher when u face these heavier skilled teams and u gotta learn how to deal with it. Offensively hes a real force, but like mentioned he still gotta evolve in the D-zone. Loved his rush on the goal. All in all i think the team did a good game, Caps are one of the favs to winning the cup so id calll this a good game even if we lost in the shootout.

oh boy this is gonna be a tough one....wayyyy wayyyyy tougher then the blues game. Caps are first in their division, 17 points, 44 goals vs nucks 29. Ovie being a beast like always with 9G 5A. However....nucks are on a roll and got some confidence. Peteys line is producing and nucks have only allowed 19G vs caps 38. Hoping for a continuation on the win streak, but this is gonna be seriously tough. Caps is a true contender to the cup. 5-3 win for the nucks? Bo, Brock x 2, Petey, Edler with the goals. miller with 3 assists. Hes a HUGE asset for the team and on peteys line. -
damn right! since Miller joined their line they are starting to come together and produce. top 3 points on the team: Miller, petey, Brock....thats our go to line for offense and i think they will continue to produce throughout the season. That line is solid!

Sometimes the stars get one of those games where they get results for their hard work and their potential reaches its upper level. Congrats on the Hattrick o captain.... https://twitter.com/Canucks/status/1186833905753739264?s=20

[PGT] Vancouver Canucks at New York Rangers | Oct. 20, 2019

This was a fun game to watch....pulse definetly rises in the third there. A game where both teams comes out to fight and battles it out all the way till the last second is over. I enjoyed the chancec created and got to see some chances being created from peteys line. It was interesting to see how petey switched from the right side to the left when on the PP, which did end up with a goal for Bo. Not saying ths is the way to go but i think they should vary from time to time to make the PP more unpredictable like it did tonight. Our 4th line was great tonight, a few clearances that didnt work out aside. And naturally Markyyyy FTW. Man was he great in that third period. Rangers fought untill the end and this is where defensive minded players gets to shine more. Enjoyed watching Benn play so solid in front of the net. So all in all this was a good hockeygame to watch, exciting till the end. Love it when the teams battle and u see how they play with their heart in order to get the win. -

So back to back morning game....Id feel better if Marky is in net, always better for the mental stability and reaction if u rest the following day. Not sure if anyone should rest or not, they did create some chacnes so its up to the players and coaches to find whos tired and whos ready at their max level. Rangers have one heck of a first line with panarin and zabinejad so their PP is bound to be lethal. hoping for a 3-3 game on this one. Edler, Leivo, Brock with the goals.
