any word on garland?
-
well....preseason game vs yotes....so far i like åman and lazar on the bottom six. Karlsson is somewhere in the middle....not good enough for a top 6 but potential is a word that comes to mind....positive is that hogs has been one of our better players and i cant see him being out of the lineup or something is really messed up. will b a bit tough on D withour myers (heard hes out 2-4 weeks) and huggy but OEL is solid and will most likely get some extra points tonight. could hope for a more matured and evolved play from rathbone but havent seen much of him at all....well dermott is on his way back, burroughs is pretty solid so thats something.. expecting a 4-1 win tonight....peteys been amazing and looks to be on the virge of a breakoutseason for being in the top of the league....

uh.....poolman definetly needs games, but the question is wether or not hes fit for the NHL or not....imo hes far from it, if he wants to come back then start in the AHL and work ur way up. hes never been a high caliber player so if he needs to become a bottom 2 d pairing hes gonna have to work for it...hard.

Alf grindin his teeth right abt now....

agree fully. from what i thought/saw was he was intended as a third/4th liner to keep oponents shut down. he was no speedstar or tough player and didnt play with grit. i dont think the added anything and i thought we could have had better help from some young players developing. i definetly cant see a place for him on the roster.

Petey is actaully an offensive threat on the pk which ofc is good. im guessing Budreau wanted to test him on the pk to see how he gets more engaged and feel more part of the game which he needed to turn things around last season. a player with pressure and not producing was hard mentally so id say it turned out pretty good the 2nd half of the season. Will definetly be interesting to see if the muscles will affect his stability so he will be able to utilize his speed better...

well it is confusing with the new pettersson but its pettersson for both of them.

yeah but i only know what i have seen. hes been a type of player that we have missed. He chases and wins pucks aggressively, playing both center and wing, can both score and make plays and is a great skater. the emphasis for me was we needed someone that can win pucks and make plays and imo he was simply a lot better then expected and was a great fit for that role. The thing is he is mainly a support player at a high level and im expecting both petey and brock to take another step in their play next season. We need the type of player and to trade for potential is a major rebuild option to take. question is if other players also will evelate their game, thinkin of Hogs and Podz.....Garland, bo, Pearson we already know their level...

Miller is an all-star quality player in his prime. how many players reach that level even if u get the no1 draftpick? that being said...i simply would love for him to continue as a canuck if he can maintain his level of play.
-
Now this looks promising...will be quite interesting to see his improvements.

Ah finally signed....at a good deal too. i think with the issues with his dad he can get his focus straight and be the top player he can be.
-
Yup...hes a keeper.

The entire NHL should be staying away from Russia as far away as possible. The impact of war is far too evident and thats why they are - rightfully so- banned from the WJHC this summer. Personally i like miller way too much to give up on him, players that needs to go are Dickinson, Poolman....but to let Miller go is a painful one meaning we would loose pretty much an entire line, since hes been carrying the line hes been on the entire season. If u dont mind waiting 5 years to take a chance on a new untested unknown 1st pic to get a cup then sure, but if u can find cap space id like to keep him. we would have been playoff bound if boudreau had been coach 10-15 games earlier in the season. The big questionmarks are what core we want to keep and what type of players do we need. If we loose miller we need that type of player, if we loose boeser we need a new sniper....its not easy, especially since Garland, Hoglander, Podz are players u dont want to loose either....

ah well....if we would have had bruce after the first 20 games instead of the forst 30 we might have been playoff bound by now..... -

doesnt look like much good of the leftovers on the market.....if a trade is coming is gonna be another pick-trade and then another 4 years to rebuild again. what core do we want to keep and why? -

Oh that was a close game. i really liked what i saw from the hogs-ep40-garland line, dont put chiasson back in that line plz.... -
its gonna be a difficult one...last night Rangers had their 2nd back to back and now its our turn with our 2nd back to back. stamina will be an issue and No Demko in net either. Hoping Halak will stand tall and have another game where he stands on his head like we know he is capable of, and the team manages to get the W. the boys are full of confidence and heres to keep this streak going... GCG!
