What was the Canucks record under Boudreau, now factor in both Miller and Horvat are in contract years thus likely having career years, the overall depth of the forward group is a lot better than last year, young players like Pettersson/Hughes are likely still getting better. The defence is the only thing holding this team back right now from being a top team.
Both Edmonton and Calgary should be good but Campbell won’t be the same goalie behind that defence and Calgary is getting older and there top players have already gotten their big contracts thus likely not having career years.
Vegas could be good but they won’t contend with their current goalie and cap situation.
LA will be good this year and I could easily see them winning the division.
Things could easily go very well for the Canucks this year and if there are no long term plans to keep Miller waiting until the trade deadline will be a BIG mistake.
