Did anyone else here mention that Christian Fischer won't be qualified by Arizona, according to Friedman? He'd be another consideration for 3rd line centre, although I would rather we had a big guy there who's also 'hard to play against'.

Actually Nosek is exactly what we need. 6'3" 205 lb centre, 59.3% on face-offs this year, and a key component of the league's #1 penalty killing unit. Not sure why more people aren't on the Nosek bandwagon here.

Tyramkin made a very wise choice going back to the KHL to refine his skills for a few years, rather than accept a potential assignment to Utica. Now he's returning matured, on top of his game and ready to dominate the NHL!!

Just when I'd convinced myself Simashev was going to be our guy, now the SN650 lunch show guys are saying they're hearing it's between Willander and Danielson for us! Actually, i'd be happy with Willander, he does have the advantage over Simashev of being our much-needed righty.

Aside from being a RHD, I see Schenn as being very similar to Cole, except that Schenn woud bring with him the superior fighting/protecting and hitting abilities that this team could really use. If it was a choice between the two, I'd much rather have Schenn. But Schenn to pair with Hughes and Cole to pair with Hronek, at least for one year, would be fine with me.
