  1. It would be great for his confidence to let him stay there one more year and try to replicate that kind of production over a full season. He'd come to the AHL much better prepared if he did. He'd essentially taking the opposite path of the one Dahlen took. Hopefully with the opposite results!
  2. Hopefully Tryamkin and Myers will have a somewhat similar effect. Good chance they'd at least be the tallest (and maybe heaviest) D pairing in NHL history.
  3. Now that 88's gone, I have inside info that he'll be wearing 99 (Petey told me....shhh!).
  4. Keep up the good play and he'll turn it right side up!
  5. Still having Lockwood is our consolation prize for losing Madden. Hopefully he makes us forget all about that!
  6. I noticed that too. To be fair, that's been a team-wide problem most of this season. But when the team starting playing better tonight, it seemed to be mainly Fantenberg who was still making the turnovers. I'm really looking forward to having Tryamkin step into that #6 D spot, ASAP!
  7. MacEwen is excelling now because this is the time of year when players like him do excel. It's also the time of year when "soft skill" players, like Baertschi and Goldobin, fade to the background. I'm very happy they've been replaced by MacEwen If we have a future need for a call-up, I'd also hope they'd give Bailey another shot (and actually play him), mainly to find out if may be a late-blooming power forward who we should be be resigning this Summer. Like MacEwen, Bailey's basically accomplished all that he can in the AHL and needs to be given a fair chance to take that next step.
  8. And now the salary cap is going way up, we should be able to resign Toffoli, no one will regret losing Madden and all will be well again!
  9. Maybe...depends on how many picks/prospects we'd have to give them.
  10. In the offseason they may just get him for free, if Benning decides not to resign him.
  11. Except the Canucks had 3 goalies in Utica and just let Richard Bachman sign in Sweden because it wasn't ideal having 3 there.
  12. Hmmm... wonder what they are with Benn in the lineup?
  13. But how would Bailey do if given an opportunity on an offensive line? 3 hattricks in 4 AHL games should have at least given him a chance to show what he could (or couldn't) do in that position.
  14. I don't think Kapanen would be a player Benning and Green would be overly interested in. He's a perfect example of the type of 'soft skill' player that they're trying to eliminate from their team (and mostly have). Definitely not the type of player to excel in the post-season.
  15. If an AED was used, it was most likely means a cardiac event. Same as with both Rich Peverley and Jiri Fischer. Neither one played again. Unfortunately, I'd have to think there's a strong possibility that Bouwmeester just played his last game (but hope I'm wrong).
  16. If they can't find a spot for either MacEwen or Bailey in the lineup, where would they fit Lind in anyway?
  17. Nice reality check, Derp.
  18. I think that would only be possible if he could somehow do it by scoring into our own empty net.
