  1. Oh guess what, you’re right about that, too bad the playoff stats still support me I’m not positive as my grade 1 math is a bit rusty, but I am pretty sure 25:31 Ice per game is greater than 24:41 per game. that would suggest, again if my grade 1 math is right, that Parayko DOES NOT GET MORE ICE THAN Peiterangelo in the playoffs.
  2. He’s a lot better than both Alf. I live in TO - he’s a gutsy hard nosed player who forechecks, plays hard both ways and has incredible speed. He’s a Hansen with hands with the speed of Grabner.
  3. If their shirts were baby blue he’d look like a smurf
  4. Im posting stats that SHOW HE IS NOT GETTING THE MOST ICE time Einstein. You clearly have a reading comprehension problem. Your argument was he is getting more ice than Peiterangelo suggesting he’s better. AGAIN HE’S NOT. It’s amazing I have to not only explain your own argument to you but when I show you how wrong you are with stats you don’t even understand it and then say I’m blocked? Hahahah The numbers show Parayko is Playing almost 2 mins less per game!!!
  5. 100% I live in Toronto and love this kid. I’ve said all along the Nucks should offer sheet him because of the cap trouble Toronto is in. Toronto is clearly trying you get out in front of offer sheets by making moves prior to teams being able. kapanen scores goals from tough areas, has good hands, and incredible speed. He’s a hard driving 2 way player and is the guy who should be getting real money not nylander. He’d be amazing on Petey or Bo’s wing, and his speed and skill are huge value on the PK and in OT. Take Zaitsev, Kapanen for Tanev our second next year plus a player like Goldy. for those who think they say no way, think about what the leafs need. Cap space and an affordable good RD
  6. Try using correct data as well - love how people make up stats to support their argument hoping people won’t actually check them Pieterangelo ice time > Parayko Ice time ”untruthful in our conversation”? Oh the irony https://www.foxsports.com/nhl/st-louis-blues-team-stats?season=2018&category=ICE+TIME&time=0 your entire response is a ad hominem attack - well done
  7. Yes, the problem has become that somewhere along the line, agents were able to convince some gms to start paying ufa numbers at RFA levels. This has caused the issue in the league of very small windows for teams to win before cap issue hit them as they are now paying younger players money that typically went to them at 28/29 once they’d earned it. It used to be rookie contract for 3 years, stud player gets a 4-5year bridge at 4-5 mil then PAID at 27/28 Now they are getting that ufa money at 22. I’d be curious to look back and seen what contracts started this, and who were the gms
  8. At the same age who would you pick? Peiterangelo or Parayko? I never said Parayko wouldn’t be a top paring on the canucks. But our weak defense should not be a benchmark. And a Colton Parayko level player would go before Kakko, Hughes, and even Byram? Really hard to take your comment seriously after that. Smh
  9. 10th plus Hutton for Subban and 24th. Nashville has cap issues and wants out of Subban’s contract - we don’t need to throw in the 2nd
  10. Parayko isn’t a top pair imho. He’s a great 3/4. He’s been a consistent 30-35 pt dman who plays physical and is a good PP2 point man. Pieterangelo is a top pair dman. Arguably the only top pair dman in the draft is Byram, all the other names would have to exceed their expectations to reach top pairing. I do believe out of all the next 4-5 Seider is the guy with the best chance of that. Moreover, if he’s paired w Hughes we could have a dominant dcorps down the road. Hughes Seider Tryamkin Woo Juolevi Stecher
  11. I wouldn’t give up a tenth overall without an extension. That’s not worth it given the stage the team is at. We’re not making a run for the cup. We need youth that stays here.
  12. I think his worst case scenario is he becomes a Colton Parayko type player. A strong 3/4
  13. I think it was a dangerous hit because the numbers were facing Sundquist. However, I don't think it would have been suspendable if the Bruin hadn't faked his injury. It wasn't predatory, it was a fast play, bad judgement, not aimed at the head, just unfortunate positioning. It was the 'sell' after that caused the suspension imho
  14. The Megna part was a joke, read up, Dhaliwal corrected it.
  15. apparently it was a joke, but a good one! Interestingly i looked at Megna's numbers in the AHL, its actually odd he hasn't been able to carve out a decent 3rd or 4th line role in the NHL. He's put up solid numbers down there, good size, fast, plays with tenacity. Its too bad he couldn't find the right fit
  16. Uncertainty and risk for minimal potential improvement
  17. I doubt it, we have too many other needs than goaltending. Perhaps he's posturing to get someone to trade up for our second if we have a player we want that's not expected to go till mid round. We need wingers with offense and defense desperately. Goaltending is the least of our concerns and you can always find gems in net in any round.
  18. He's not a ufa. I think you're confused, he can't 'leave'
  19. Indeed he is. I get what Green is doing though. I think Jake has a tendency to get complacent in his game. Within the game, from game to game. We see flashes of great talent then he goes quiet. By putting him on the third line he's been trying to drive home how how hard he has to work shift to shift, and until he prove's he's too good to stay there, Green won't move him up. Its a bit of tough love to get his game consistent. But, I do think, he deserves a chance (and a real one) to play with some talent this year. Let's hope Green give him a good long look with those 2. I think if he can play the Tom Wilson role (which he can easily) he becomes very valuable for us.
  20. I agree. He's in that danger zone of we don't know what he is yet. Is he a 40-50 goal guy or a solid 25 goal player with 30 goal upside. If he's smart and believes in himself, which he is, and knowing he's getting to play with Petey for the rest of his career, take the short term, prove it out at 40 goals and paid big on the next one. Not that 5 mil isn't big.
  21. Nope not at this point, which has been the basis of my argument.
  22. No, I am actually new and just an adult. Clearly that level of maturity is lacking on this site. I am confused how responding to a trolls to help them either get assistance or suggesting they should grow up, is somehow seen as 'in the wrong'. It is certainly very telling of the real or "mental" age of some here.
  23. Yes but that’s a bad comp because he was waaaay over paid. That being said, Brock’s agent will likely be pointing to Nylander as a comp, and sadly he was over paid as well. JB will point to Bo and the internal cap as his benchmark. agent is going to want $8+ and short term and JB wants $6.5 AAV Long term as my guess.
  24. Actually your insults and others’ insults led to the responses above. I have one username and I’m an adult. I come on a hockey site to talk about hockey. It seems a few here are adolescents who troll others as you have. Trolling is not the behavior of psychologically balanced people. I’m simply trying to assist those who engage in trolling to find some assistance as that behavior, by psychological fact is a sign of personal challenges. I have no desire to engage your childish behaviour any longer. Good day and seek help if you need it.
