  1. Someone needs to tell this dude about cap friendly lol
  2. Ooh I forgot about that Rat Tkachuk. Can’t wait for him to try his crap now
  3. 9.5 mil all in for both? Ridiculous. Many thought those two would cost 12-13.
  4. Ferland will be playing with Petey and Boeser. He’s there to protect, create havoc and room. Miller slides down with Bo
  5. I wanted Meyers and Ferland and JB gave me exactly what I wanted! Plus Miller, this team is going to be big, fast, skilled and Nasty. I think Jake is going to learn a lot from Ferland as well. We all know players play “bigger” when someone takes that lead. I’m hoping some of his Physicality rubs off on Bo as well, but thats not a major issue. But should Bo start using his size as more of a weapon, watch out!
  6. It’s obvious to me, Jim has some deals lined up. As if they are going to “just sign” Ferland without knowing they will get a Brock done. Our media is ridiculous
  7. Hey Dmen in the western conference, I’d shoulder check every time you go into a corner against the Canucks now... As Apollo Creed said at the end of Rocky “Ding Ding”
  8. Green is salivating ”Dim Jim”’ haters are having tantrums and whining about cap issues like Jim and team aren’t aware a cap exists. oh my the west is shaking now Jimmy just made all the haters look like even more stupid than they thought. But but lottery pick!!! Nope we just went from pretender to dark horse contender. We’re a playoff team this year We’re a contender in 2021 - Tryamkin, Podkolzin on board. Dust off those white towels folks! We got some playoff hockey coming!
  9. Ferland is definitely going to teach Jake how to be a better player. If Jake can mold his game after Ferland, watch out because he has better skill. Just as many thought Lucic would be good mentor, Ferland is younger, better, and cheaper
  10. I think Ferland plays with Petey and Boeser. He’s the deterrent on that line.
  11. How about the depth it creates below? Ferland Petey Boeser Miller Bo Pearson Baer Gaudette Virtanen Rousell Beagle Leivo/Motte assume Sutter is on his way out as is Eriksson somehow
  12. Dude I think they know how to manage cap. Jesus, this nonsense has to end
  13. Me too! Man teams are not going to want to play us anymore!! In 30 years and a Canucks fan I’m finally seeing a team with some Jam. Add in Tryamkin in March, my god we are dark horse contenders. We’re BUILT FOR THE PLAYOFFS. Not big and slow, but big fast and mean
  14. As long it’s charging someone who looks at EP the wrong way, I’m ok with it!
  15. I’m dancing right now. I wanted Myers and Ferland and we get both. Clearly Louie is moving or a few others. atta boy JB!!!! Amazing!!! No one is going near EP now and the room he’ll create for EP and Boeser will only allow them to produce more. Move Miller with Bo, Oh my!! we aren’t just a playoff team now folks, we’re a dark horse contender!!!
  16. One word to explain your very insightful post (I agree with you 100 percent - “character”. this is why the Canucks have focused not only on talent but what the character of said player is with that talent. Boeser, Petey, Gaudette, Podkolzin, what you keep seeing is we’re picking guys who have desire to get better. Every player who’s drafted in the first round likely has enough talent to make it at least to the NHL at some point, the difference (amongst that round and others) is are they committed enough at their craft to improve their weaknesses to make it long term. Bo, great player, size, character, two way player but the knock on him is was skating. Look at him now, it’s a strength. Had he not committed himself to be his best, he might be struggling on the 4th line given how fast the league changed to being about speed. Boeser is next and needs to improve that. Petey we can see that intensity to be the best every shift, we know he’ll work on his game. Podz appears to have that same fire. You can be an average player / grinder but if you play with heart you’ll stick and improve (Burrows) or, you can be Uber talented but if you’re hearts not in it, you don’t have the drive and character to compete, you flame out like Daigle, Patrik Stefan etc.
  17. I think its more of a reflection of how good he is, he wasn't expected to get to us, and given Byram was playing locally he was a natural to review, even though the odds of him falling to us were zero
  18. Give us a combo of Burr at his peak + Lappiere and we have on hell of a competitor and leader. All I've seen of him is a player you'd hate to play in the playoffs against, a gamer.

  20. Here’s my proposal to move him. Erickson Goldy Boucher Tanev to Ottawa for Boedker and a 2nd Ottawa gets stronger on the back end, with Tanev who can easily by flipped for that second at the deadline or better. Sens take on a player worth 3 mil in Erickson but helps get them up the cap floor issues at a 6 mil cap hit Goldy is a good project that needs a new start, and he and Boucher were 2 of the three line mates (with Galchenyuk) who tore it up in the OHL and thus have chemistry (and continued to show chemistry in the AHL). I don’t think Goldy will ever get it here, but he’s still got some shine “potential” to him to make him attractive We get out from the cap issue of erickson, bring in a potential top 6 RW for Bo, and can always flip him at the deadline Hainsey brings depth and size with Tanev out (granted he’s a LD but move Benn to RD as he can play both sides, if needed) Thoughts?
  21. I am really looking forward to seeing this kid healthy, bigger, more experienced in camp. I do think he'll be sent down to get his legs under him but expect him to be the first call and likely with the big club by mid season. I hope he shows well in camp, and pushes the team to think hard about sending him down. Always loved this pick and I think this is they year he shows the bashers, and diaper wearing fans who think a player must break in at 18, how good he is and how valuable a pick he was (especially given the state of our defensive pipeline). December Edler Tanev Hughes Meyers Juolevi Stecher Benn Trade Deadline Edler Stecher Hughes Myers Juolevi Tryamkin Benn
  22. Juolevi wasn’t the guy who had the problem, it was confirmed by the guy in the media who spread the “fortnite NHL player issue’
