[Waivers] Guillaume Brisebois, Adam Brooks

Green likes Hunt and he could careless about a younger Brisebois -
Working in a corporation, that I've experienced become a giant in Canada has shown me in real life, all of those things you had mentioned. Without insider context, I can only guess about Gillis but good chance, my guess & yours will be good enough. Although, if I were to guess and comparing it to Lindens' situation: it seems that Aquaman already knows what he thinks is best and anyone that disagrees' is let go. Unfortunately and based on my observations - the employee that tends to be promoted or kept for these reason(s), are generally, the ones that (unknowingly ?) fosters a culture of mediocrity cause they ulitimately, don't care about the company; and there results/performance confirms, that they are the ones that should had been let go. Anyways, how Aquaman will navigate the team through this situation will reveal alot about his leadership philosophies & priorities. Currently, the on ice product confirms alot about him already cause he is the one that assembled this leadership group (including the staff); and the message being sent to the whole organization is - mediocrity is acceptable cause it is my busines.

Ultimately, it comes down to Aquaman and what he is willing to swallow. If he will take some personal accountability and hold his crew to the same standard then something meaningful might happen outside of a desperation trade. Just watching how he will navigate the Canucks through this - without costing too much in assets

I am not sure how Aquaman operates his businesses; and making a profit doesn't mean much at all cause a business with a great product or system will make money regardless, of the owners ineptitude. Of course, it must also be considered with context the difference between the founder and the heir of the company when discussing these matters. My main point: there is no way to predict what Aquaman will do cause we don't know what narrative his leadership group are feeding him and I ve personally not seen the Canucks in this situation (before) during his tenure as owner - so nothing to compare too. Right now, Iam just going to watching, how he will navigate the Canucks through this cause it will say alot about his leadership philosophy & priorities. Good chance, a desperation trade is coming to facilitate delaying any leadership decision till seasons end cause firing Green this early into his contract is a MISTAKE they are unwilling to admit - imo.

Why not ! Anyways and I get it cause the Canuck brass believes that as well and it proves that JB, is a nice guy. Imo, it is all about negotiating and coming up to an understanding that works for both cause based on Greens' overall record of mediocrity - that offer shouldn’t have even been created but Aquaman & crew likes him enough to see past his mediocre record. Bottom line: ink is dry and I am not confident, that Aquaman & crew will know how to fix this without an independent voice that has a different perspective is hired.

Ditto: firing Green this early into his (BAFFLING) two year extension is an admission of a mistake that Aquaman & crew are unwilling to admit - imo. Hence, a desperation trade is coming; and just hoping that JB, doesn't pay too much in futures - but I wouldn't be surprised if he does. More roster tweaking from JB and line blending from Green, doesn't foster chemistry among the players on & off the ice. I am starting to realized, that JB doesn't have what it takes to be the top dog and he ( with Green & Weisbrod) should only be assistants at most.
-
Ditto, the other GM, knows the situation with the Canucks and JB will once again, have no leverage. Plus, the player being traded outside of Miller (due to his stats) will have a depressed value due to Greens' tendency to destroy any/all the value a player has. More futures are the only real currency, JB has to trade; hopefully, he has more sense to keep this years 1st cause that will be a valuable pick based on there current trajectory. Canucks under, Aquaman & crew are slowly turning into the Sens - ever rebuilding with a small blip of success to keep the fans hungry. Ultimately, this is Aquamans' toy and if he chooses, to hire a weak leadership group - then it should not be shocking that anything they do moving forward, will only be a band-aid or worse.
-
I get it cause that extension proves, at the very least, he is well liked within Canuck brass that they gave him, not a one but TWO YEARS contract extension - baffling, but office politics at its finest. Anyways, good chance a DESPERATION TRADE, is coming to delay any leadership decision till seasons end - smh. Simply put, Aquaman & crew (including the staff) can read all the leadership book ever written and they still won't get it cause there seems to be no accountability within this group; not surprising, that the on ice product is sloppy & ineffective.

What is wrong with maximizing a lost season by tanking cause look at how quickly Anaheim has turned there roster over (as one more recent examples)..

Loser points are important to the Canucks - to foster a winning culture (just look at last years, all star games against the Flakes at the end of the season, were they jumped from 5th to 9th; and with hindsight, I am glad for the loser points cause that pick was traded away for OEL & Gar). Anyway, I can understand your frustration cause I was also frustrated until a week ago. Right now, I ve realized that the Canucks is Aquamans' toy; and if he chooses to run it in a perpetual cycle of mediocrity by hiring the current leadership group (on & off the ice) - then, I've decided to just let it all play out cause the only move they have - right now, is to make a DESPERATION TRADE, to buy themselves some time. Worst, time to make a trade cause most/all the players are underperforming, which means a 1st round pick will be added.
