  1. With context, it depends on how important having a career in hockey is to the kid & (most times) the parents. So, unless the kids & parents choosing to invest there time in a potential shot at an NHL career, are really just in it to keep there kids busy - then I would agree. All parties, involved knows there will be some sacrifices
  2. Most players are more concerned about there stats to get the big paycheck and the attention. Ofcourse, there will be exceptions - especially, in today's world.
  3. At this point, I wouldn't mind seeing fin make an ass of himself behind the bench - think of the entertainment value.
  4. Imo, the sad part is, they are trying to figure it out; and since they have no (f&$&$g) clue on how to win in the NHL level - EVERYTHING THEY DO, IS JUST MAKING EVERYTHING WORST. Perhaps, the pitfall of hiring a cheap & inexperienced staff cause when the ships start to sink, each individual will more than likely be blaming something/someone else for his/her failure - rather than being accountable. With Aquamans' choice of personal in the leadership group - mediocrity is not surprising; good thing, for him this is a hockey crazed market and despite the incompetence in the organization - it is still a money making business by default.
  5. At this point, silence is the best way to deal with this type of local media - what a bunch of vultures.
  6. Let me give you a clue: he has recently been inducted in AHL HOF - any guess ? Lots of plug love to go around
  7. At this point Green & friends seems to be out of ideas cause everything they do just makes the whole situation worst. The pitfall, of hiring a coach that has no NHL experience.
  8. If that is what is being reported (it seems like a shallow reason), then I would take it with a grain of salt. He knows what's going on; but perhaps a bit unsure on how to proceed cause they already had an aggressive offseason. This situation is surely making alot of people in the leadership group very uncomfortable; and rightfully, so cause they are getting paid to make decisions.
  9. Not sure, I agree cause it seems to matter to FA. Anyways, agree to disagree.
  10. Queenville, Bowman, Murray and etc are all flawed people that will get massacred in this market: by the fanbased and media. The Canucks/Vancouver market would rather let this ship sink. Any coach, that has a winning track record over a long period of time in the NHL; and since this Vancouver, the new coach should not have any skeletons in his closet - basically, a robot or some one that presents themselves well to the public.
  11. Hard to ignore, the on ice product based on the eye test; and they are losing with no sense of urgency is concerning as well. Imo, no stats or fluff can explain the UNINSPIRING losses.
  12. Yeah, Aquaman might be a billionaire; but he might want to look at a POH, that has had success on/off the ice to help him. Perhaps, in Vegas he saw McPhee for some advice cause if I was in his shoe, that would be something I would look into ????
  13. Not sure, if agree ? Anyways, trading the Sedins are a package deal and JB being a rookie GM, with a (still) propensity to over value the incoming player - would probably had to sweeten his side for a team to take on salary & two aging (somewhat) productive players. It wasn't an easy trade to make perhaps if the Canucks, had a long tenured GM - it might had been a different story ?
  14. Vancouver is a hockey market starving for heroes & trophies, whereas, those teams you mentioned are markets where hockey is not #1 and they don't have local media schills that PR's the teams talking points. One context, to consider is the GM's of both team: Murray & Lombardi; both long time GM's that have had a long track record of success and good chance, there was a mutual understanding that it is time for the team to assembly a new. Anaheims' new core is looking pretty good; but Murray is out as there GM. Also, with the Sedins, the one factor that made it really hard to trade them (outside of the fanbase) was - they were a package deal.
  15. Good point; but picks are the asset, JB seems to have that has any values cause the players in the system/roster either have a depressed value or a high salary with trade restrictions.
  16. Thats my point, that is why Aquaman is ultimately the one who is responsible cause it is he who assembled the leadership of the team. Imo: he one bright side to the disastrous start to this season, is that, everyone from JB to players are all getting re evaluated and will Aquaman have the conviction to follow through (?).
  17. Good point: Trevor really had no choice but to wait out the Sedins to retirement. Interesting, how the spinsters/media schills spun it as the Sedins last run.
  18. Yeah, trading the Sedins' would had caused a riot in this city; and Trevor did it to save the city.
