  1. Not sure, if they are smoking weed in the intermissions cause there was no energy.
  2. I get it - if there is progress every game, despite the result but I am delusional that the on ice product is stale & predictable. Not sure, how to fluff up a 5-1 uninspiring loss with an 0 - 3 road trip.
  3. I think the two forward and d man the Canucks needed are already in the team; and now I understand why they gave away two young forwards & a young d man (Mac, Gadj & OJ): Green, King & Baumer.
  4. Kraken has so many bad names that can be rendered from - personally, the Seattle Squid would had been more representative of Shiattle.
  5. Ever heard, of the importance of loser points to help foster a winning culture cause those are important to the Canucks.
  6. Ditto: it starts from the top and instead of sticking with Lindens' rebuild he chose the quickie....
  7. I thing the real reason, they are losing this game is because of the backup goalie ?
  8. Alot of respect for the twins but I hope Hogz will have more bite than what the twins showed on the ice.
  9. Hogz has been one of the ones' that continues to show up - future Captain material ?
  10. Hirsch, realized he was thinking out loud and doesn't have the balls to stand by it. I can understand his passive aggressive approach (somewhat) cause he has a cushy job and it would suck losing it.
  11. Hirsch, having a passive aggressive moment by trying to appease everyone. He would be more respected, if he stood by his statement but that would also mean, he would be lossing some opportunities.
  12. Read about long haul covid. I wish Sutter all the best !
  13. There is an important lesson for Aquaman in all of this and IF he allowed what Illich, is allowing Yzerman to do in Detroit - there is a good chance, this forum will be an echo chamber of positivity or at the very least, we will be nitpicking about small issues.
  14. Not sure about your take; but after the hyped up offseason, a dark cloud of bad energy seems to had settled on the province & team
  15. I get it - JB does deserved alot of blame and the Canucks record under his tenure - as of today is, subpar; just like Greens' overall record as the Canucks HC. Given the context of the aggressive offsesson, the roster seems deeper but misused - based on the eye test. A more recent example of the affect a coaching change can do is Calgary. Calgary made the choice midway through last season (after there version of an aggressive offseason) to hire Sutter and gave him 30 games to asses the team. This offseason, they made some tweaking (Coleman being the one big commitment) and so far, they are playing together and doing well. Ofcourse, in Calgarys' case - the choice to pick Sutter and when seems to be the right move based on there play this season. As for the Canucks, when leadership (JB or Aquaman) chooses to make the move will reveal what there intention for this season will be; and secondly, who is chosen will reveal what kind of team, we will be watching moving forward. Imo, JB had already spent alot in futures & capspace and good chance, a new GM will either be very patient which probably means more lean years to conserve futures or spend more futures for capspace to keep this window with this core open. Ultimately, JB or the new GM can only do what Aquaman is willing to accept; and based on an article from Friedmans' investigation about Lindens' departure: that Linden was doing his due diligence on how to do a proper rebuild by asking other teams of there experiences. The article, further states that a meeting took place with Aquaman chosing to go in a different direction; and I am really starting to wonder how much of the blame is on Weisbrod - a corporate rat (?). Anyways, the disastrous start to this season should be a lesson to (mainly) Aquaman, that there is no short cut on how to build a LONGTERM contender ie: an aggressive offseason doesn't guarantee anything (as one important lesson). Imo, Lindens' vision would PROBABLY had been very similar to what, Yzerman is being allowed to do in Detroit - ultimately, Aquaman chose this path and is the builder of the current leadership group. If JB is retained, his next moves will determine if he gets a well earned extension or termination; and imo, based on the deeper roster JB sees the end of his contract but the decision on Green at this point is binary.
