Ditto: this season conitnues to show me how much involved Green, is when it comes to personnel - and his choice of playing waiver cast-offs over showcasing these prospects for the fans, just confirms why he is a mediocre coach. The loss of the cheap YOUNG depth over waiver plugs are on him; and his line blender strategy, further reveals his lack of understanding of what a being a coach is. Well said, on your last paragraph - and under Green, the Canucks have lost alot off players value due to his deployment & treatment of players that doesnt impress him from day one, ie: JV as one obvious example. Demko is working hard to keep the ship from sinking, whilst, Green is too busy looking good at the wheel - as he (unkownigly ?) steers the ship toward an iceberg. Looking forward, to what leadership will do or not do.

I can see these two having issues cause Miller has his experiences from his time with NY & Tampa, whereas, Bo seems to be the conitunation of the type of leadership from the Sedins era. Personally, I think the Sedins are decent people; but the gentleman's or passive aggressive type of hockey they exemplified will not win the Canucks a championship - ever - cause it is dependent on the Zebras, to call a PLAYOFF game based on the rules and that is not what makes playoff hockey so so good. Rather, it is the way the Zebras (for the most part), let the players decide the games; but ofcourse, as Canuck fans we saw how they rigged it, in 94 for the Rags (the highest spending team at the time) - to help them cross the finish line. Regardless, the team needs a new culture (imo) and the young core seems to like JT (?). Let see who wins this tug of war - if what, Hirsch is saying is true ?

Not necessarily cause the aggressive offseason, (imo) is JBs' way of admitting to his past mistakes; and the re signing of Green was his way of re evaluating him with a deeper roster cause him & Aquaman (if the rumours, are true that Green is also well liked by the owner based on Drance - a schill) seems to had bought the narrative that Green is a desired coach around the league. So far, Green & friends are only earning there reputation as mediocre coaches. Even the local schills can't keep blaming personnel over the disastrous & very familiar on ice product.

Yeah - quite upsetting but no surprise, from the coach who seems too focused on being a GM (more so than a coach) rather than doing his job: prepping and teaching the players he is GIVEN to play a system that maximizes the strength of the roster. He is earning his reputation as a mediocre coach and he obviously has no clue how to be a decent coach (at very least); although, he seems to play the part of a great coach very well.

THIS - is what the JB haters or personnel focused fans are failing to realized cause (imo) coaches are hired to prepare & teach the players to play a certain style within a well defined structure - team identity. So far; and as we had seen in the pre season - Green was too focused on personnel, that he let go of three known (but still developing) prospects over the waiver wire castoffs that he chose to keep (or perhaps three younger depth players). Regardless, JB (imo) spent alot in futures & cap space to make roster deeper and the on ice product is still predictable & stale. The mediocrity on the ice, is reflective of Greens overall record.

Why is Green "well respected" around the league?

Vegas has a depleted forward group due to injuries but there defence is intact. Let see what there staff are able to accomplish with that crew.
